I walked around in a realm of darkness, it was endless and void. I felt drained and weak, similar to the way I felt when I was dying. I hoped I wasn't dying again, I wasn't ready to go yet. Voices were echoing in the far distance, calling me to them. I ran, faster and faster. The voices were leading me somewhere. The darkness began to slowly lift and it no longer covered me like a blanket.

I sat up in bed, startling a maid and causing her to drop the bowl of water she had. The loud crash made my ears ring and I gave out a yelp. Before long there was a huge gaggle of people surrounding me and touching me.

"Stop touching me! Get away!" I exclaimed as I swatted at all the hands around me. Eventually they got the hint and backed up giving me some much needed space.

"Everyone get out, let's give Sindri some space to breathe." Kouen instructed as he walked into the room.

"Kouen, Kouen, what's going on?" I asked as I struggled to get out of bed.

"Sindri stay in bed, you shouldn't get up yet. You've been asleep for the past three days."

"Three days? What about the wedding? It's not canceled right?"

"Don't worry about the wedding, it's only been postponed. How are you feeling?"

"Like crap."

"You can't be using up all your Magoi like that. Why didn't you tell me you're a magician?"

" Was. I'm not one anymore. Any large amount of magic usage completely drains me. I can't even make a decent Borg anymore."

"Will you be okay?"

"Yes."

Sinbad came into the room and immediately came to my side. He said basically the same things as Kouen and gave me a mini lecture on controlling my temper.

"Alright, alright. I'm not a child, Sinbad."

"Then, we'll leave you to rest." Sinbad said as he and Kouen walked to the door.

"Wait, the wedding. How are the preparations?" I called out to them.

"Everything's ready. Why?"

"Let's have it today."

"What? You need to rest."

"I've been resting. I seem to be almost dying every other day, so let's get this treaty completed before I actually die."

Both men seemed surprised at my statement, but reluctantly agreed. They left to go spread the news and get ready. A trio a maids then came in to help me get ready. I silently let them do whatever to pretty me up. The wedding no longer mattered to me, since Mother's dress was ruined I no longer cared about how the wedding would go.

A few hours later I was ready, all I needed was to put on the dress. As a maid walked in with the dress I froze. It was fancier, but the base design for the dress was that of my mother's dress. My breathing was shallow as I out it on, it was perfect. I stood in a daze as the maids finished me off with some jewelry and a veil.

The wedding went by smoothly, as smoothly as any arranged wedding would. No love in our eyes as we stared at each other, automatically saying words we had practiced, and no real happiness from being married. The only happiness I can get out of this is the fact that Sindria and Kou will not go to war and destroy hundreds of lives.

The reception party afterwards was really fun, with plenty of food, music, and dancing. Despite my internal determination to have the least amount of fun, I found myself laughing and dancing. My good mood was slightly soured by Sinbad's drinking and lewdness. My mood was once again lifted as I began to sip at the wine that seemed to never end.

As the party began to end Kouen approached me. In the back of my mind I knew what he was meaning, but I was too tipsy to care. I followed him up to his chambers and the guests who saw us go had a knowing smile on their faces. Once we reached his room he locked the door and turned of the lights.

"Are you ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be."
