Chapter 11: Escaped Kishinuma

  " Find my daughter or I will sue this place!" Ayumi demanded. The doctors and nurses were already searching for her the time I was here. I have ever seen her parents so pissed off before. Their faces were red with anger as they talked to the doctor. I swore Ryu flinched in his seat. 

" When did you come here?" Yoshiki asked me. 

" I don't know how long they were searching for her, but they were rushing around when I arrived," I explained. Hopefully, they won't burst on me. 

" At least you weren't involved this time," Ryu muttered. 

" I don't need you speaking about it," I told him. I understand why he acted this way around me, but there are times when it wasn't needed. 

" I just hope she's still in the town," Ayumi muttered. " We don't need anything like the last time." 

" I believe in her," Yoshiki said. " Maybe she just wanted to go for a walk. Then again...that's unlikely of her to do." 

Ayumi sighed. "We just have to see. Ryu, if you see your sister, bring her back without hesitation. Her wounds could get much worse that way." 

" Like I was gonna let her stay outside anyway," he said before standing up. He then walked down the hallway, not bothering to listen what his parents said. 

Yoshiki turned to me. " Anna, please go and see where he's going.  He will just walk somewhere and forget where he's going." 

" Sounds like I'm the grabber here," I muttered under my breath.

I had followed Ryu all the way to the park. He must have forgotten that I was behind him, because he flinched when I appeared behind him. " Why are you here?" 

" I was ordered by your parents to help you. Seems like I am suppose to help all the Kishinumas." 

" All except one," he reminded me. " Hana didn't need any of your help from the time she was gone." 

" Quit your whining and let's find your twin. Now, where do you think she went? Do you think she's still thinking about the book?" 

" You mean the one you found?" He then scoffed. " I don't know. I'm thinking she's thinking of Sachiko and her mother. Now that she figured out who they are, she wants to find out more." 

" But...that would mean she went to find out your mother's history. About her family I mean." 

Ryu thought about what I said before speaking," Maybe." 

" Then...where would she go if you were her?" 

He seemed to be thinking hard as I asked him. I could tell there were a couple of places that went through his mind, but he refused to speak about any of them. Without speaking, he continued walking ahead. 

I followed him until the sun was going down. " Ryu, where the hell are you going?" My question was answered when he stopped in front of an old house. It looked like no one had lived here for years. 

" My mom used to say a relative of hers used to live here. Died when we were born." 

" Who was she?" 

" An aunt if I remember correctly. Lived here with her husband and children who died from a drunk driver. There's no where else I could think of Ruka being." He started to walk inside before I stopped him. 

" Wait! Do you really think this is a good idea? What if the door is locked?" 

" Locked?" He chuckled. " It hasn't been locked for years. People come in here, take stuff, and then leave. If you tell me, this place is probably ransacked by now." He opened the door and showed me inside to prove it.
