We took another train down to Kishi before evening could hit. I could already feel butterflies in my stomach. Mom and Dad must be worried about me now, calling everyone they know to ask. I had remembered something similar when I walked to my grandparent's house by myself. I could never forget how terrified and pissed off they had been.

" Anna, we're here," Ruka said. " We should get a driver to take us down to the house."

" Yeah."

" Do you still think this is a good idea?" Akahana asked.

" It's best if we continue," she told her. We got off the train and stood at the side of the road, asking others to give us a ride. I don't know how long we have been standing there, but it was long enough where I was getting exhausted. Akahana and I sighed and sat down on the ground but Ruka was still calling for someone to help us.

Akahana sighed out of frustration. "No one is going to stop for three girls."

" Shut up and just wait!" She ignored us and continued yelling until someone actually stopped their truck. The man opened the door.

" You need a ride?"

" Yes, do you know where the Shinozakis lived? Sachiko and her mother?"

" Shinozaki? Are you one?"

" My mother was one."

The man looked at Akahana and I, then back at Ruka. " Hop on in and I'll get you there faster."

" Now, why are their three little girls screaming at the side of the road for help? Your parents left ya there huh?"

"We're not related," Ruka explained. " These two are my good friends and we're middle school girls. We had wanted to find out about Sachiko Shinozaki. You see, because we're distant cousins."

" I haven't heard that last name for a long time now. I remember my parents talked about Yoshie and her daughter. Nice people they were."

" So you knew them?"

" Not for very long. You see little girl, there are people here that remember the incident about them. Also, there are rumors of black magic."

" Wait a minute sir, just how long ago did they die?" I asked. My thoughts went back to that woman. She claimed that she used to work with Yoshie.

" Most likely before your parents were born."

Akahana and Ruka looked at me, like they knew what I was thinking. That woman must have used some kind of magic to make herself look younger. Or in simpler terms, she was lying to us.

The man then dropped us off at the small house. It was abandoned all right, the house looked ruined, the wood was becoming weak. " I hope you find what you're looking for!"

" Yes, thank you sir!"

We followed Ruka inside the house. It looked worse inside than it did on the outside. Everything was torn down, some old books on the ground that must have been here for a while. There were also some candles laying around.

" I guess we better get to work," Ruka said, unzipping her backpack. It felt like death was near when she took out the book. " Go and find something, I need to get the ceremony started if this is going to work."

" Don't you need a picture or something?" Akahana asked.

" I have pictures of our friends," she explained, taking the picture from the book. It was when we had fixed the festival in the high school part. They never liked younger kids, but they allowed us to help out for sure. In the photo, it was only Aoi in the picture. I remember her face looking bright that day, but now everything was black. It brought tears to my eyes.
