Chapter V - Breaking in

Nero: I had taken Adrian in an empty room and started questioning him.

'Who are you?' I asked.
'Adrian!'
'Do you have any idea why are you hunted by them?' I continued.

'No.'  His answer was fast.

I had shown him the image with the symbol on the hammer.

'This symbol looks familiar to you?'

His negstive response was very fast. Maybe he doesn't care about such things?

I remember our fights. I remember the moment when he wanted me to assume something I haven't done. I remember his look from that day...

'Interesting' said Adrian.

'What's so interesting?' I whispered.

'The fact that you don't believe me'

Alia: Sitting in front of the desk, I was thinking of what role could have had this Adrian in this story, when I had noticed that I am not alone in the chamber. I opened the drawer slowly and took out the gun silently. I turned around very fast, just to see Alex sitting in front of the gun.

'Alex you scared me.' I said and let down the pistol.

He was looking at me weird and the look from his eyes was empty.

'Alia, are you seeing it too?' He asked and pointed his finger somewhere behind me.
I turned around slowly and I see it. A small hole in one of the upper corners and inside it the face of a creature. Quickly I fire a shot, but seems this idea was kinda bad since the body was getting heavier and heavier, forcing the hole to get bigger.

Nero: 'We must get out of here' I said when I heard the shot.

I supposed I knew the source, but I wasn't that much sure until Danny and Alex came to me.
'Alia told me to look for you. They managed to break in' said Alex.

I didn't had time to comment, so I've ran to the room where Alia was.

Alia: Just after Alex left to alert the others, the dead body fell out of the hole. Another creature jumped from there in my direction. 

I kicked his face, throwing him into the left wall. The next one was thinking a spider or something because he was falling from the ceiling. Throwing myself on the back, I used the force in the hands and I managed to hit his head with my feet. The ceiling cracked when the attacker's body hit it. I stand up fast and I noticed I am outnumbered. I wasn't going to give up.

Nero: During the run, I had checked my pistol. It was fully charged. Entering the room I see Alia punching and kicking the enemy. I've always been impressed by her warrior spirit. I had started to fire. Every bullet perfectly hitted the target. Once I've ran out of bullets, I replaced the charger with another one from my pocket. Another twelve dead and their number was growing on both dead and alive sides.

'Alia, we have to get out of here', I said.

'No we can't! We need the hard drive with our researches.'

'There is really no time for this.I don't even know how much ammo I have left' I said and recharged my pistol again.

'If we don't take it, everything would be wasted.' She said and smashed the head of another one.

'How much time you need?'

' Ten minutes.' She replied to me.

'I could had gain you this time if I would had...' I said and looked at how Danny thrown my sword and coat. I catched them and start slicing them one by one. Alia was already gone, but now Danny was with me. Fortunately he was a real sniper and his skills were great since he could have even shoot many enemies with a bullet. The dead bodies number was growing and so the number of the attackers. Time seemed to pass slowly, but in the end Alia came back, telling us she's ready. We had started to retreat from that sanctuary that 'till now was perfectly hidden and we had barely managed to call it home.
