chapter 16

*two months later*

"Carter!" I yell from the bathroom  I hear his stumbling and running to the bathroom he bursts through the door breathing heavily
"Are you OK! Are you having the twins! What's wrong" he looks at me with wild eyes
I laugh. He looks at me like I'm crazy
"Babe I'm not due for another three months. All I wanted you in here for is to help me take off my shoes"

After another month of being  pregnant I wake up with a sharp pain in my stomach

"Carter" I tap his back but he doesn't move "Carter" I push him off the bed where he hits the floor with a yelp
He jumps up and sees my face covered in tears
"Carter" I rasp "I need to go to the hospital"
He picks me up grabs the baby bag that we made Incase this happened
He runs us to the car all he has on is a pair of sweatpants he sets me in the car gently and runs around to the other side

I can't be having the twins now I'm only six months along

The doctor did tell me that I could be early but not this early

Another sharp pain rocks through my body
"Carter!" I moan "drive faster!"
At that he hits the gas and the car jerks forward

Then an cop car pulls out behind us and the blue and red lights fill the car
"Don't you dare pull over!" I growl at him
"I'm sorry but I have to" he looks sad then the car stops on the side of the road

The cop gets out of the car and walks up to our window
"Do you kids know that you were speeding"

"Yes" I snap"I am pregnant and I'm in labor! Now let us get to the damn hospital." I yell

The cop gives me a shocked look  "I'll give you an escort" he runs back to the car and we follow him to the hospital with lights on "Carter!" I cry out the pain was so unbearable
"I know hon I know" he grabs my hand as we pull up at the hospital
We are placed in a room as soon as we got there
The doctor walks in and lifts up the blanket and looks
"Well it's too late for an epidural and you are crowning. OK Ray I need you to push"

*Time skip*
I just had my babies
We named them Anna and Aaron

Both are in perfect health even though they are premature

"Can I have my phone" I ask Carter who is holding both of the babies in his arms with the biggest smile on his face
"Yah babe. It's in my pocket" he smiles
He gets up and walks over to me

I pat his thighs to see which pocket it's in

I pull it out and text Kat

Kat I'm in the hospital...
JUST HAD THE TWINS!👶👶

Omg! On way I'll tell your aunt don't worry!👍👍

I set my phone down  and look at Carter. I haven't got to hold them yet because I just woke up

"Give me them" I say very happy

He gets up and walks over to me and hands me Anna
She looks up at me with her big chocolate brown eyes
Tears of joy feel my eyes.
How could I have made something so small but has the beauty of so many in just her eyes

I kiss her rosey pink plump cheeks
I look up at Carter who is smiling at me
"Carter she looks just like you" tears are flowing down my face
"She has your eyes " he kisses me cheek sweetly

Just then the little boy in his arms laughs
"Let me see him too" I say reaching out for him
I look at him he has Hazel eyes and dirty blonde hair just like his dad I run my hand over his head
Nothing can ruin this moment

Then Kat bursts through the door and yells "oh my gosh! Gimme, gimme, gimme"
Right after she walks in so does aunt may
Kat grabs up Anna and aunt may holds Aaron

Now me and Carter look at them holding our babies
He crawls in the bed with me and yawns
"When was the last time you slept?" I say looking at him 
He has dark circles under his eyes and is falling asleep fast

"Um .... We go here a three in the morning...So before you pushed me off the bed " he Mumbled
I look at the clock and it's ten in the morning.
"Go to sleep hon " I say kissing his head

"What are there names?" Aunt may says
"Anna and Aaron" I say as Carter lays his head on my chest "and Carter" I laugh

*Time skip*
Two days later

Carter is driving us home but he doesn't take the road to my house

"Carter where are we going?" I ask looking at a street sign

"Can't tell you babe it's a secret." He laughs

A few minutes later we pull up in a long driveway
"You may not remember this part of the place because you were blindfolded " he says

Then it his me

"We are at the place you took me for our first date." I say smiling

He nods
"Carter we need to get home so I can put the babies down for a nap."
He just keeps driving with a large grin of his face

We pull up to a big white house with a porch that wraps around the whole house
I get out of the car to look

Carter grabs the babies out of the car

I'm still looking at the beautiful house with blue shutters and red trim

There's even rose bushes that are around the house

I feel Carter walk up behind me and whispers in my ear
"Welcome home baby"

He carries the babies in the house and I follow him in to a big living room that has a big brown leather couch that could seat about eight it looks like a corner of a square

Carter walks up the stairs and I follow there are multiple doors and he walks in to one

In the room there are all of the furniture that Kat and I bought but they have paint on them to of storks, nature, animals,and flowers.
Carter picks up Anna and puts her in the crib then Aaron in with her

**Authors note**
I believe that twins should share the same bed when they are first born
I mean they have spent their whole lives together to this point so why split them up now**

Carter grabs my hand and we leave the sleeping babies

He leads me to another room but in the middle of the room is a queen bed
The closest already has my clothes and stuff in it as I look around I see that all my stuff is here

We keep looking around the house but we don't say a word just taking in all the perfectness of the modern style house

Then he walks me out to a patio and I see a heart made out of roses on the hill that we went on our first date he walks me up the Hill he goes slow because he knows that I'm still sore

Once we get there we set down and look at the clouds as they pass

Carter jumps up and pulls me up with him
"Ray I need to do something" he says smiling

"OK..." I say laughing

He gets down on one knee "I know I already did this but I want to do it again" he smiles taking my hand

"Ray when I am with you the whole world stops to me" his smile is beautiful in the setting suns light "we are a family and I don't even want to leave you because when I do the days are meaningless with out your smile I'm sad. With out your laugh I can't be happy " he starts crying "I need you Ray. I will always love you through thick and thin. I love you Ray and I'm happy that I will spend the rest of my life with you will you marry me Ray " he smiles

"Hummmm" I say putting my finger on my face "let me think"

He is still looking at me with his smile "of course Carter. I could never love any but you"

He pulls me in to a kiss
"I love you Carter" I whisper
"I love you more" he whispers back
