chapter 14

*two months later*

I am having a boy and a girl
Kat was stoked when I told her she bought a tu-tu for the girl and a onesie for the boy that has the print of a tuxedo on it  we got  the furniture and put in in the storage room until my due date is closer

I still haven't talked to Carter. He comes by my house everyday he spends a hour setting on my door step he knocks on my door but I don't answer

I want to answer but I can't bring myself to.i want to see him and hold him but when I think of him all I can see is him kissing that girl. Why would he do that to me I did nothing but love him.

Carter hasn't been knocking at my door for the last week i wonder   where he is

*Carter's POV*

I have been to Ray's house everyday for the last two months and she won't let me in she keeps sending her aunt out to talk to me she says that she is not home or she is sick. One time I did hear her being sick in her room.

So one day after spending the day outside her house I went home and got in my mom's liquor cabinet and took three bottles of bourbon and went to my room

I love Ray Curtis but she doesn't love me. I take out the engagement ring and hold it as tears slide down my face. I take the bottle and open it. I take a long slow drink letting it burn down my throat. I drink all grew bottles and I think it's a good idea to call Ray.

I dial her number and let it ring

"Hello?" She says
"Before you hang up on meee hear me ourt " I slur
"Carter?" She says
"Yah s-so listen to me "
"Are you drunk?" She questions
"Yesss and you need to listen to m-me " I burst. I get hungry and start to go to the kitchen. I am on the stairs
"Carter where are you?"
"At meeeee house!" I say hoping down each stair
Then I slip and tumble down the stairs dropping my phone
"Shit" I hiss

*Ray's POV*
"At meeeee house!" Carter says
Then I hear a lot of banging and tumbling
I hear a low whisper"shit"
"Carter. CARTER! Hello are you OK " I yell
I grab my car keys and run out of my house
I drive like a bat out of hell to get to his house
Why do I even care he cheated on me and now I am driving to his house
I look down at my stomach I am three months pregnant but I look  six because of the twins

I pull up at Carter's house and waddle-run to the house. I try to open the door and it's locked. I look in the window on the door and see Carter laying on the ground I run around the back of the house and pull on the door and it opens with ease
"Carter. Carter I'm coming." I say running in the house
I run up to him and crouch down beside him
His nose is bleeding and his arm is broken
I tap his face
"C-carter honey wake up " I say holding his head in my lap
"Hay Ray" he squents at me
I pull out my phone and Dial 911
"Hello, what is your emergency?"

"Um yes I came and found my ... Boyfriend he fell down a flight of stairs his arm is broken and I think he has a concussion "

"OK I am sending a emblance right now stay calm"

"Carter?" I say
"Hi babe! Hi honey you are really fat!" He giggles
"Yah I'm pregnant" I say letting out a breath
I wrinkle my nose at the strong  smell of alcohol on him
"How much did you have the drink?" I ask
"T-two three bottles of the strong s-stuff" he moves his head around
"OK I hear the ambulance" I say holding him still "be still"

The ambulance pulls up and I unlock the door and I follow them to hospital. I text Kat to tell her where I am

Hay I'm at the hospital don't worry

ARE YOU HAVING THE TWINS!!!!!

No I'm with Carter he drunk called me and fell down the stairs while on the phone and I called 911

I walk in Carter's hospital room
He is asleep.
I walk over to the chair on the side of his bed
"Well I've never been on this side of things" I say setting down grabbing his hand
I rub small circles on his hand with my thumb
"Carter I have missed you " I say
"I don't even know what I did to make you cheat " tears start to burn my eyes
"I didn't cheat" he mumbled
"Then what do you call it" I say
He opens his eyes "a misunderstanding"
"OK explain" I say
"That girl Stacy the one who beat you up. Well after you left she said 'that was for Stacy' I don't even know her! And the vaguely remember her at school" he says up in his bed and looks at me
"I have spent the last two months in my own personal hell with out you" he puts a hand on my cheek and wipes a tear off of "you are my happy Ray and if I have to go through that hell again only to see you smile I will do it " his voice break at the end

"I love you Carter" I say

He smiles " I love you more "
He pulls me in his lap
He kisses me sweetly not lustful or hungry or anything but pure love

"Babe I love you and all but I have one huge hangover and I don't want to get sick on you " he says leaning back

"Do you want me to tell the nurses that you need a antinausha and a pain med " I ask hopping off of him
"Please" he asked

I start to walk out of the room when I hear Carter take in a sharp breath

I turn around and see him looking at my stomach
He puts a hand over his mouth
"Ray...." He looks in my eyes
"Are  y-you ...."

I look down at my feet and put my hands on my stomach "I'm pregnant Carter"

He puts his face in his hands. He
starts to whisper" oh my god.oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god"

I walk over to him and put my hand on his back
"It's OK Carter " he looks up at me and smiles.

"Ray I'm a dad." He pulls me back in his lap "I'm a dad!" He yells then kisses me pulling me on top of him 
The nurse walks in

"So I'm guessing you are not having headaches "
Carter looks up at her and says

"Oh I need one but I just found out that I am a dad "

After the nurse left I am setting on the bed with Carter he has his hand on my stomach
"So do I have a daughter or a son"
I smile "both. I'm having twins."

He smiles "twins"
I smile back "twins"
