Carter and I have now been married for ten years
Anna and Aaron are almost ten and we have another girl who we named Sarah Patricia
And a little boy who we named Carter Jr
Sarah is almost is six and Carter is two
I am in Sarah's room reading her a bedtime story
"Mommy?" She says "when did you first fall in love with daddy?" She asks sweetly
I walk over to her bed and run my fingers through her dirty blonde curls
"Well. That would be the first time I saw him"
She sets up in her pink bed. This little girl loved pink and Tinkerbell.
"And when was that?" She asks
"Well it was when I was in seventh grade. He was new to the school and he was in almost every class with me. But me being me he didn't notice me. I was the geek who sat in the back of class and read."
"But he did notice you mommy!" She says "if not then I wouldn't be here"
I laugh at her sequels
"Yah baby I know" I look at the clock "it's you bedtime. Goodnight love" I kiss her head and walk out of the room turning out the lights on my way
I make my rounds and all the kids are asleep
I walk in my and Carter's room
He is in the bed and I crawl in and turn out my light
Carter turns over and wraps his strong arms around my waist
"I did notice you Ray" he whispers in My ear
I turn and look at him his bright Hazel eyes kind of glow in the dark
"Were you spying on me!" I say sounding falsely hurt
"You know you were the first person I saw at that school. I remember thinking that you would turn me down if I asked. So I didn't but that day at the rubage sale I got the courage and I asked you" he smiles.at the memory "when you were having car problems I thought it was a sign from God telling me to talk to you." He kisses me and I break it off
"You have work tomorrow. Go to sleep" I say closing my eyes again
"MOMMY!!!" I shoot out of the bed and run to Anna's room
"What's wrong!" I yell worriedly
Carter runs in agreement and trips over some of her dolls on the floor
"Mommy I had a bad dream" she says wiping tears from her face
"Aww baby it's just a dream. Do you want to sleep with me and daddy?" I ask
She nods and Carter picks her up "it's OK honey-bun" he coos "daddy's got ya"
I walk out of the room and see that Aaron, Sarah, and Carter Jr are awake too
"Do y'all want to sleep with me and daddy too?" I ask and they run out of their rooms in to mine and Carter's
They all jump on the bed on Carter who starts a tickle war
I jump on the bed too and then Carter has me under him tickling me
Then he kisses me
"Ewwwwwww!" All the kids say in unison
"Eww?" Carter says "why eww?"
"Cause it's nasty daddy!" Anna says "you have coodies now!"
"And now I'm gonna give them to you!" He grabs her and he pulls her so she is laying on his lap. He starts kissing her all over her face
She is laughing and screaming with joy
"Ok" I say "it's bed time now. Let's go to sleep"they all crawl under the covers and I turn out the light again
"I love you Carter " I say
"I love you more " I mumble back
"That's impossible"
"Good night"
I get a round of good nights
"Good night love" Carter whispers
