This oneshot is based off Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, the story line and plot isn't originally mine, the characters including you don't belong to me. Just what I have written.

I was getting ready to go over to the Schmidt residents. Both of our families were rich. I've never met the son of the Schmidt family, whom I was going to marry. I've only seen him once in my life. My family and his really wanted us to get married. I tried to talk my way out of it, but my parents didn't listen. My parents and I were riding in our carriage. I solemnly looked out the window when we arrived. The mansion was absolutely enormous, and the dark brick walls made it look a little eerie. It reminded me of a life sized version of a doll house with dark dead vines still trying to climb the walls.
We got out of our carriage and we walked up the cement steps and rang the doorbell. Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt stood at the doorway as it opened. They and my parents walked into the drawing room of their house. I walked into their living room which contained of a piano in the corner, a fireplace with a glowing red and orange fire, and beside the couch was a dusty old cello. I sat on the piano bench and stroked the keys. I could tell the piano was old; there were many scratches and the chips of wood. The top was open and I could see the inside. Two strings inside were loose. I pressed the keys they connected to and no sound came out. The poor instrument has gone through so much, yet its owners hadn't tried to fix it.
I set my fingers on the keys and play a little song. It started out quiet, and I gradually got louder, feeling the movement and feeling of the song. As I played, I felt as if I was in my own little world; just me and the piano. I felt like someone was watching me, but I shook off the feeling and continued playing. I slowed down and finished the song as someone spoke three words.
"You play beautifully," I stood up quickly and almost knock the stand that holds the music down. I looked to my side to see a tall boy with dark brown hair and dark eyes. His suit was neat and tidy and his eyes, they smiled brighter than his lips. I could feel a deep but subtle heat rise to my cheeks as he smiled.
"T-thank you." I stutter a little. I close the piano and straighten my dress. "I'm sorry, I through I was alone." I curtsied a little in nervousness.
"It's alright, Miss." He chuckles a little. "We've been trying to get rid of it anyway." He shrugged.
"Get rid of it? But it's so beautiful. Any instrument with such a sound shouldn't be treated like that." I gestured to the cracks on the piano.
"Well, it's so expensive to try and fix it if no one here plays it. It's just... kind of there you know?" He said.
I've always wanted a piano, but my parents were too cheap and always said it wasn't ladylike to be able to play. I guess my ability to play the piano is natural.
"You can have it if you want. We have no need for it and no one will take it even if it was at no charge." He offered.
"Really?" I ran my fingers over the piano's edge. "You sure?" I looked up at his dark eyes.
"Positive." He smiled.
"Oh, thank you." I beamed. "What is your name?" I asked .
"Mike." He smiled shyly. "Yours?"
"[Y/N]." I say as Mrs. Schmidt walks in.
"What are you two doing? You're not supposed to be alone together!" She pushed us roughly towards the church.

"With this hand, I will guide you through darkness." I took Mike's hand and walk forward. I took one step too many and bumped into the table.
