Mermaid!Mikey X Leo

Leo had had enough of Raph tormenting him about being the leader. Some of the reasons Leo didn't know were because Raph's the stronger one physically and also because since they were all born the same time Raph likes to think he's the oldest and therefore being the leader.

Leo was told that he became leader because he only asked first but then being told that Splinter could see a strength in Leo that the others didn't have.

Wanting to calm down, Leo wandered the sewers, thinking about random things just to clear his mind from Raph's anger.

Leo walked into one of Leatherhead's old rooms with a large body of water that lead to a drain in the sewers. He sat along the edge and stared at his reflection in the water.

His mind went from Raph to Mikey. The orange clad turtle had been missing for weeks and the others had no idea why or where he went off to or what happened to him. The lair wasn't the same without Mikey pranking his brothers; it was too quiet.

Leo sighs and sees another face in the water appear under his reflection. He tries looking closer and so does the face, emerging out of the water partially.

It was Mikey, missing his mask and nunchucks and the tape around his hands.

"Leo!" He beams as throws his arms around his older brother.

The blue clad turtle hugs him back tightly. "Mikey, where the hell were you??"

"Here." The blue eye turtle replied. "I was exploring."

"For 3 weeks??" Leo demanded.

"Something happened..." the younger one swam to the side of Leo and pulled himself up and onto the ledge, showing off his orange mermaid tail.

Leo stared as Mikey flapped the rounded clownfish like fins I and out of the water. "What happened?"

"I have no idea (not like he really ever has an idea). Maybe a person threw mutagen in the water." Mikey shrugs.

"Well, I'll take you to Donnie and-"

"No!" Mikey jumps back into the water. "I don't wanna leave the water. I'll suffocate if my tail isn't touching water."

"Then I'll bring Donnie here." Leo stands up.

"Don't bring Raph." Mikey murmurs.

"Why not? He misses you a lot, Mikey." Leo frowns.

The mermaid turtle shook his head. "He's gonna get mad at me and I don't want him to yell."

"I'll make sure he won't." Leo rubbed Mikey's head gently and ran back to the lair. He walked into Donnie's lab and knocked on the door as he stepped inside, seeing Raph was starting to scramble to walk away from Donnie.

The blue clad turtle looked at Raph and Donnie and walked over. "What just happened..?"

"Nothing." They both said quickly.

Leo shook his head. "Well, I found Mikey-"

"Where is he?!" Raph demanded.

"Hold on, Raph. He's changed and he's scared for anyone to see him. Donnie I wanted to take you with so you could test him. He's a mermaid now." Leo explained.

"A mermaid??" Donnie and Raph repeated.

"Well, technically he'd be a merman because-" before Donnie could finish correcting Leo both the red clad turtle and the blue one gave Donnie a look that said they didn't wanna hear it.

"Raph, when you see him don't get angry at him okay?" Leo looked to his younger brother.

"Yeah, yeah..." Raph rolled his eyes.

Donnie grabbed what he needed and the three went back to the room with the pool and Mikey swam around waiting for his brothers. When he saw them walk in, he hid from his nose down in the water, staring up at Donnie and Raph, mostly Raph.

Raph backed up to the wall then ran and jumped into the pool, splashing his brothers in the process.

Leo and Donnie glared as Raph and Mikey laughed. Donnie started testing Mikey to see what caused his mutation.

As Donnie was figuring this out Mikey snuck up on Leo and yanked him into the pool. Leo yelped and shivered as the cold water hit his skin.

Mikey and Raph laughed and Leo glared at them. Donnie walked over and sat on the edge.

"So what based off the sample, someone had poured mutagen into the water-"

Leo and Raph start panicking and climbing out.

"Don't worry about it the pool drains and refills every week." Donnie added. "Someone had poured mutagenic clownfish DNA in here either on purpose or on accident but Mikey when you swam in here you grew a tail and fins.

Mikey lifted his tail up a little out of the water and played with the fin of it.

"Why did you leave to here in the first place?" Raph looks at his little brother.

"Well... I just wanted to explore... clear my head-"

"Clear your head of what?" Raph gives him a look.

Mikey glares at him. "It may not seem like it but I think too! Anyway... before I was so RUDELY interrupted; I wanted to clear my head and get my thoughts-"

"Singular, Mikey, you only have one thought." Raph teased.

"STOP INTERRUPTING ME!" Mikey splashes him and folded his arms. "I wanted to get my thoughts straightened out. I swam here and I saw I grew a tail and I got out of the water and I started choking and I got back in the water and I was fine. That's why I didn't come back. And my phone kinda died so that's why I didn't call either.."

"I told you to charge your phone you dingus." Donnie says in a 'I told you so' voice.

"Yeah I know..." Mikey rested his chin on the edge. His stomach growled and he looked up at his brothers. "Can you guys get me some pizza?"

"Yeah sure." Donnie gathered his things and Raph got out of the water. The two walked back to the lair and Leo stayed by the pool to keep Mikey company.

Mikey rested his chin against Leo's legs and looked up at him. Leo stroked his head and smiled.

"You wanna know what I was thinking about?" Mikey asked.

"Hm?"

"I was thinking of how I would tell you that I liked you..." the mermaid blushes a little and smiles cutely.

Leo blushes a little and Mikey giggles and pulls him into the water.

Leo looks at Mikey and the orange turtle mermaid wrapped his tail around Leo's legs and hugged him and brushes his lips against his. He swam up to the surface and pulled away as Leo panted slightly and Mikey giggled.

The two look up and see Donnie and Raph staring at them, holding pizza and holding hands.
