When he reached the bridge, he saw Konopob leaning against the bridge rail with his bent arms propped on it; He was looking down over the water flowing somewhere under the bridge. Arthit's teary gaze drifted over Kongpob's lean, tall figure, finally settling on his lonely profile. He stopped only a few feet away from Kongpob.

"I've been looking for you."

Kongpob flinched a bit but kept looking down the river.

"Le, Let's go back home toge..."

"What about the kid...? He shouldn't be alone."

"Bright is with him."

Only then did he turn to Arthit.

"I, I want to apologize to you. June was just...."

"You didn't say 'no'."

There was not much difference in Kongpob's facial expression.

"When he referred to me as your housemate."

 He sounded hurt.

"That's the point."

Feeling ashamed of himself, Arthit hid his left hand he wore the ring on behind the back.

"I, I am sorry. Then, Can I have an opportunity to fix it? I will do anything......"

"......Are you sure you will do everything I say?", He lifted his eyebrows, his voice cold.

"I am sure....", He tried to smile at Kongpob, only to fail.

"Then, quit your work."

It was a short but clear request.

".....Why......? Why do I have to quit....?"

He walked a couple of steps closer to Kongpob.

"Because you always think of running away."

"No!"

"You've drawn a line between us all this time, looking for a way to leave me!"

"No, I haven't."

"Yes, You have!"

Arthit's heart thumped wildly with shock.

"That's why you made me play that fucking Master-Butler game with you."

"No, I mean...."

"You are always looking for a way out from me! Aren't you! You've played my feelings like a game."

The smell of river water mingled with the tension in the air surrounding them.

"No! It's you who is going to leave me someday! Kongpob Shutthirak!"

"Don't change the topic. Just quit working, stay at home and wait for me there!"

"No! I don' want to!"

Glaring at Arthit, Kongpob's eyes blazed with rage.

"You never do anything for me."

He turned and walked in the opposite direction away from Arthit.

"Don't go away from me....."

Arthit weakly begged towards Kongpob's back getting away from him.

"Don't leave me alone.....!"

Arthit closed his eyes tight.

"Stop there!"

Kongpob stopped walking but didn't turn around.
