-super long chapter, sorry.
He entered the emergency room and looked for his love. Just thinking about Arthit suffering was sheer torture for him. His mind had wandered somewhere in the midst of hell since he got the call.
He found Arthit sitting on the corner bed, trembling in fear with an IV** running into the back of his left hand. "I'm Arthit, Arthit Shutthirak Rojnapat, 35 years old. My spouse is Kongpob. Kongpob Shutthirak Rojnapat, 33 years old. We met at the university. We married......" Arthit was continuously mumbling. Kongpob felt his heart almost breaking. "Don't worry, Mr. Sun. Your husband will arrive soon...don't worry...." The taxi driver was patting Arthit on his back, wearing a worried look. [**IV: intravenous]
"Arthit....."
Arthit winced, then slowly raised up his head. He looked at Kongpob and stretched out his arms towards him.
"Kongpob.....Kongpob.....Shutthirak Rojnapat.......My other half."
They held each other tightly as if they just met after a long separation. "I'm here, honey. Don't be scared....." They didn't release each other till assigned a patient room.

Kongpob saw the driver off to the parking lot. He gave him an envelope stuffed with enough money. "I can't thank you enough for all your help today. You really saved us. Khun Tod." He hesitated to receive it first, blushing. " I, I can't take it. Khun Kongpob...I am rather sorry for Mr. Sun...I should have been calmer.........." Tod said scratching his temple. "You deserve this. I am serious." Kongpob put the envelope in Tod's hand and wai-ed him in genuine gratitude.
After sending him off, he met Dr. Min. Sitting across from the doctor at his office, he felt himself consumed in a never-ending agony even though he had watched over Arthit falling into a deep sleep in his patient room. He couldn't shake off his nervousness.
"Some neurological drugs prescribed to him can cause headaches, nausea or vomiting....but their side effects should not be severe like this."
"He's been in a bad condition these days."
"Especially this month, right? He was okay at his check-up last month. His stomach ulcers have got worse in the interim. Could you tell me what made him stressed out these days....? There should be psychological triggers that caused his sudden fainting. "
Kongpob was tongue tied, lost for what to answer.
He did nothing but ask him, "..........What should we do...Doctor.....?"
"..............He's not strong enough to handle some of the drugs. I'll replace them with less strong ones.....and we need to make sure he has no other side effects or symptoms. Staying in the hospital for a couple of days will be helpful."
"...........I ignored whenever he vomited.....only kept asking whether or not he had his medicine....."
He himself had forced Arthit to take those strong medicines all this time.
'For what....? To help him fully recover from the aftereffect of the accident....? No....I just want him not to lose his memories of me again.......so fucking selfish......'
He bit his lower lip.
"Fortunately, he was able to remember and explain what symptoms he had when he fainted. That's a good sign for him. But....."
".........."
"....I can't guarantee he will be okay next time if he faints again. You should take more care of him to preserve his equilibrium."
