"Ralis..." Rutela's voice burned through the King's mind as he sat up, seeing his mother in spirit. "I know you have been thinking about your marriage."

Ralis frowned. "I know."

"You remember what I said," said a fading Rutela. "If you pass the Zora Sapphire to another woman, I will be let into death forever, and you may never see me again."

Ralis knew this was coming. His mother had been coming into his dreams lately, and now that the Hero of Light was off to the lake Rutela had appeared in private. "Mother," he said, getting up. "I want to stay with you. I cannot marry."

"But what about Zieni," said Rutela quitely. "I dont want you to break her heart."

Ralis squinted at his mother's coral ring. "I will never let go of you," he said.

Rutela laughed, and let her son fall back to sleep, watching him, and knowing if the Twilight invades once more, she may be dragged back into death along with the Twilight Princess.
