Yuuri took a deep breath and focused on the warmth of Victor's hand in his as the boy himself lead him into the kitchen/dining room area.Upon looking up, Yuuri noticed there were already plates of food on the table, and he made a mental note to remember to thank the royal chefs the next time he saw them.
"So... Uhm.. how have you been?"
Victor looked at Yuuri and he decided to answer the question. Not that he wanted to even in the slightest, he'd just feel bad maxing Victor awkwardly have to answer everything.
"I've been quite well, actually. You?"
The brunet nodded and his gaze fluttered off elsewhere "Good..." he paused slightly and met Yuuri's eyes again "I heard you've been going through guards a lot."
"You heard right then. Not anymore though. Victor is the best." He felt a genuine smile creep onto his face as he glanced under his lashes at the silver haired boy sitting next to him.
This must have caught Rebel's curiosity "I take it you're close?"
Victor spoke up at this with a little smile at Yuuri "You could say that"
Don't think about waking up and seeing him. Don't think about fencing with him and ending up kissing him. Don't think- Too late.
He felt the heat rise to his cheeks.
"That's cool..."
They had a silent agreement to pause the conversation to eat. Yuuri was a little sad because Victor let go of his hand for a bit to do so, but immediately after they were done their fingers were intertwining again, making him smile.
"You know, I use to think the garden was the best place here."
Yuuri's gaze flickered over to Rebel "I remember that. What's your favorite place now?"
"The garden."
He couldn't help but laugh a little "wow, I'm so shocked."
"Well, would like to see it? It looks lovely this time of year." What was with Victor inviting him with them. He gets that it's the polite thing to do but... that didn't mean Yuuri had to like it.
"'Course."

A/n:
Ok but I just finished writing this book and I'm really sad now. Sadly, I can't spam you all with the chapters because I have an essay due on Friday and I'm not sure if I'll have time to write much this week. The essay I just finished this book avoiding lmao.
There's still like seven chapters left to publish, so don't worry.
Pray for me, this essay is probably going to kill me. It's a big grade for History and English over a printing press. A printing press.
