"Do you like Yuuri?"Victor almost- well actually no, he literally did choke on his own spit as the question hit his ears.
The brunet must have been waiting the whole time for a chance to ask it, and now that Yuuri was excitedly helping one of the gardeners he had found the perfect opportunity.
He stared wide-eyes at the brunet incredulously, "Excuse me?"
"Do you like Yuuri?" He repeated firmly, his almost grey colored eyes giving away no emotion.
"Why? what's it to you?" He questioned skeptically.
"Just answer the question."
His eyes flittered off to Yuuri, focusing on the bright smile on his face and the glitter in his eyes as the gardener carefully instructed him to do something with the beautiful flower in his hands.
"'Like' doesn't even begin to cover it."
"Cool."
He couldn't help but look over at the brunet, who didn't seem bothered by it in the slightest much to his surprise "What? No, surprise? Yelling? No 'He's mine and you can't have him' type stuff?"
This earned him a laugh as the boy turned to him "No, if anything I'm happy he has someone like you."
"But, you were going to get married, there had to be at least some feelings attached."
"Yes, but I only ever saw him as a really good friend.." he sighed, his eyes on Yuuri, "Sure, the original plan was to marry him for money but I genuinely liked being friends with him. He's pretty great, so don't take it for granted."
Victor nodded somewhat understandingly.
"Just keep in mind that the little things matter the most, okay? Especially to Yuuri."
He raised an eyebrow "Wait, hold on, are you telling me how to-"
"-be a good boyfriend? Yes. Helpful tips." The boy finished and gave him a thumbs up, making Victor laugh slightly.
"Well, I guess any help is nice."
Rebel smiled and nodded.
They stood in silence, watching as the garden lady gave Yuuri a proud smile and hand him another flower to plant before begging in plant one herself.
"Do you think we could be friends?"
Victor glanced at Rebel, a little caught of guard by the question "Uhm... sure."
The brunet nodded before meeting Victor's gaze "Do you think Yuuri will be friends with me again?"
He paused, carefully choosing his words "Well, that's entirely up to him, but he's a kind soul so I'm sure he'll come around eventually."
The boy nodded.
Yuuri looked up and met Victor's gaze, offering him a dazzling smile and a little wave, making Victor's heart skip a beat as he waved back.
Rebel's question rang through his head again and Victor thought about how he felt about Yuuri. He had already come to the realization that he wasn't just some random crush a few days ago.
Victor was in love and it seemed like with the boy's every movement he fell even harder.

A/N:Ok but I actually put some effort into some new covers and they're kinda like the old ones but I like them a lot better tbh
That and I couldn't help but put up another update because I realized I only need five chapters to publish while I'm at school so that's cool.
