HAYLEY POV:
"Sorry sir, could I please swap groups? I don't feel comfortable working with Aria," I said while standing at the front of the class next to Mr Smith's desk. "Hayley I have made these groups for a reason, this is a smart class but there are still people working at different levels. You are the smartest in that group and I hope you and Lucas can try to help Aria as she is on thin ice of being moved out of this class," sir's voice stern but soft. I nodded and went to go sit with the two of them to do the work. As I sat in my seat, I noticed Luna was sat on Lucas' lap while Aria looked at her in disgust."Class, as I had set you the homework to do a five hundred word essay on a natural hazard, this should be easy for you. You have to make a presentation for the rest of the class about one. Once you have chosen, someone from your group needs to come to the front to write it on the board with your names of who is in your group." I immediately turned to look at the other two to wait and see what they would come up with, knowing I'd have to agree with them. "I think we should do about an avalanche." Aria said after tapping her chin as though she was speaking. I was surprised with her choice as it was what I was going to suggest, "Hayley put it on the board now," her voice suddenly turned stern as I cowardly nodded my head and went to put it on the board.
"Aria do some research," Lucas said looking up from his phone to see her taking selfies. "But babe, Hayley said she'd do it." Her voice was a high pitched whine. I looked up at them and shook my head, "I-I didn't say I was going to do your part" I was stuttering even though I tried to be confident. Lucas looked at me while I was talking then looked back at Aria after, "I never heard Hayley say that. She hasn't even spoke to us this lesson," his voice sounded irritated at the brunette sat across from me. I quickly dropped my head after I saw Aria giving me a dirty look.

Me: Help me.. This isn't fair
Amy: Wish it could be us 4 x
Z: Hang on Hay, we're presenting on Friday
Me: Thank god for that!
Ty: Hay be confident. You can handle working with them for two more lessons.
Z: I feel bad for you Hay..
Me: You and Amy are lucky you're in the same group...
Me: Gotta go, she's making me do most of the work.
Amy: Rip x"Look how pathetic she is, texting her nerd friends for help. Don't you agree baby?" Aria's voice hinting I was like a child. Always going to others for help even though I could handle it myself. "No," Lucas said trying to gain confidence against Aria who replied with pure disgust, "What do you mean, No?" He looked at her straight in the eyes but before he spoke he passed Luna across the table to me. I let her sit on my lap and I pet her, keeping her fur looking neat. "I mean no, I disagree with what you said. I bet they're really nice people if we didn't assume they were nerds for actually doing well in lessons," Lucas spoke, everyone went silent and paid attention to what was happening between the two of them. He then continued, ignoring the fact everyone was staring at them, "it's because of you I don't try and make friends. It's because of you that everyone's scared of me. It's because of you I have a broken rib. It's because of you my legs hurt with every step I take. Everything is because of you!" His voice raising as he got towards the end of what he was saying. Lucas stood up and walked out of the classroom taking his bag with him.
I got up to go to Mr Smith to ask if I could follow Lucas to give him Luna, luckily sir let me go as long as I did another five hundred word essay on another natural hazard. I walked down the English corridor trying to find Lucas until Luna jumped out of my arms and started running down the corridors until she got to the cafeteria. Chasing after her, I noticed she stopped just before the stair case next to the cafeteria and started meowing. Luna went around the corner so I followed and saw Lucas was sat about halfway up the staircase with his head in his hands. I sat next to him and picked Luna up, "I'm probably one of the people you don't want to see right now but you kinda left Luna with me and, I know she helps you stay calm so I brought her to you," my voice was quiet but still audible. He sighed as though he didn't know what to say. He looked up straight ahead of him and sighed again, "it's just that now I've had a go at her, she's going to go tell my dad and he's going to beat me. She told him loads of stuff I haven't done and he's broke my rib, bruised all down my legs, held a flame against my bare chest and back, and even tried to hurt Luna. I seriously hate Aria but if I break up with her, she's going to tell my dad and he's going to disown me or break all of my stuff," Lucas' voice broke as though he was trying not to cry.
I placed Luna on his lap and put my arms around him, embracing him in a hug which I didn't expect him to hug back but he did. We sat there for a few minutes but then we were interrupted by the bell which signalled it was break. We pulled away and looked at him in his eyes before standing, "want to come sit in the music room with us? I'm sure they won't mind you being with us," I asked him as I held my hand out to help him stand which he accepted. "Are you sure? I don't want to interfere" he was hesitant which showed he was actually a nice person at heart. "Yeah c'mon lets go!" I shouted a bit too eagerly. "Can we go to my locker first? I need to get my science book," he asked picking Luna up and putting her on his shoulders, letting her lean against his head.
