Befriending A Bully

HAYLEY POV:
The boys stood and started at me as though I just killed someone, where as Amber was trying to hide her happiness. "Alright let's go!" Amber screeched as she started skipping towards the main entrance of school. Zane walked with Tyler and I while Amber was walking with Lucas. "So why'd you invite him to ours?" Tyler asked rudely, I turned to look at him and noticed Zane was writing on his board so I waited for him to turn it around. When he did, it read "Ty stop being mean but why did you invite him?" I looked at the two of them as they both fixed their hair. "Because if he goes back to his place Arias going to get his dad to abuse him and even though he's been our bully for a while I this he's a nice guy who's been around the wrong people," they both nodded slowly in agreement and started to catch up to Lucas and Amber who were already at the bottom of the hill right outside of school.

After we got home which was only a thirty to forty minute walk, I showed Lucas to the spare room where he'd be sleeping as well as the main bathroom, kitchen, and all of our rooms just in case he needed our help for anything. He went to his room and said he was going to get changed after he told us he always carries around two spare outfits just in case. I went to my room to get something comfier instead of my shorts and short sleeved top. Walking out of my room, I went to the bathroom and changed into some leggings, a sports bra and a black jacket, basically what I always put on when I get home from school. We always get changed when we get home, Tyler puts on basketball shorts and a short-sleeved grey hoodie, Amber changes into leggings and a football shirt she got from her brother for her fourteenth birthday before he passed, and Zane changes into grey tracksuit bottoms and a black under-armour. After we get changed, we all go to sit in the main room and put on Netflix, mainly a random anime, to watch until we can be bothered to make food.

We all roll a dice and the highest number gets to choose the anime we watch. Amber rolled a six so she got to choose and she chose Kuroko No Basket because 'there was a cute one on the cover.' While we waited for Lucas to come and join us we all went to get our pets to cuddle with. Tyler sits on the corner sofa to the back of the room, claiming the corner of it with his legs up in front of him; he sits next to Amber, who sits cross legged, in the middle of him and Zane, who has his pet ferret Sasha curled on his lap. Amber usually has Zen laid on the cushion behind her head and Cloud in a ball in the middle of her lap. Then I sit on the floor in front of Zane but luckily I bought Leo a thick bed so I sit on that with him laid in the middle of my legs, resting his head on my upper thigh. When we were all sat down Lucas walked in with Luna on his shoulder. He was wearing knee-high tracksuit shorts, a black and white striped shirt and a black jacket with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows. Lucas came to sit next to me on the floor, which was in front of Amber and he let Luna climb down his top so she could lay on his thighs. I looked up at Tyler who was putting the anime on and he gave a simple smile to me.

In the corner of my eye, I saw Amber who appeared to be blushing and I couldn't help but giggle at her. She was going to say something but instead, she stared at me as to say don't say anything or I'll kill you so I smirked at her and hinted towards Lucas to see what she would do; her blush darkened and Zane looked at me to see what I was doing to embarrass Amber. I turned back to look at the TV as I heard the theme song start playing.

It was about quarter past seven when we decided to order food. Zane and I always order a pepperoni pizza to share with a salad because Tyler wants us to stay healthy, Amber orders a plate of sushi rolls with extra slices of tuna for her cats, Tyler usually orders chicken tikka on naan bread but today for some reason, he wanted a cheeseburger which came with fries, and Lucas ordered a cheeseburger with a side of onion rings even though it came with fries anyway. Tyler and Amber always debate who should order out of them two but they could just order online which Amber refuses to do incase they mess it up. "Why don't we flip a coin, loser orders?" Tyler suggested as he walked through to the kitchen to find a coin and walked back. He told Amber to call it as he flipped it; she called tails and unfortunately for Tyler, she was right. Tyler took Amber's phone to call and order food seeing as though his was on charge in his room. "It's going to be about half an hour" Tyler told us as he sat back down and pressed play.

Our food arrived and we all went to sit and continue watching Kuroko No Basket while we ate our food. "I'm going to bed guys, I'll see you all in the morning" Tyler announced after he finished eating. A few minutes later Zane got up and placed Sasha around the back of his neck before he stretched indicating he was going to bed as well. "Amy can you show Lucas where the spare room is? I'm letting Leo outside then going to bed," I yawned as I finished what I was saying. She replied with a quiet yeah as I walked out of the room, behind Leo. I went to my room to get Leo's leash and connected it to his collar, "let's go outside then pupper." We exited the house and went to a field about fifteen minutes away where I let him run around for about half an hour as he has less energy than most dogs but he still has a lot of it, and it gives me time to think to myself.

"Leo!" I shouted and watched the German Shepherd run up to me and sit right in front of my feet. I knelt down so I was about his height and he raised his front paws so they're resting on my shoulders. "Do you want to run home Leo?" I asked after I attached his leash to his collar again, he barked in response and he started to pull me along behind him which I slightly giggled at. I jogged behind him as he led me back to the house; hen we got home, I went to the kitchen to get two bottles of water and walked back to my room. I poured one of the bottles into Leo's water bowl and then laid in my bed. After he was finished drinking he jumped onto my bed and curled into a ball next to me, "Night Leo," I whispered as I rest my arm over the top of him.
