Befriending A Bully

ZANE POV:
"Will you make the the happiest man in this school and uhm, be my girlfriend?" I hope Amber was right, I hope she didn't lie to me about Hayley liking me. Oh god. My palms started going sweaty and my knees were shaking, I don't think I've ever been this scared over anything before.

"Yes, of course," my ears must be playing tricks on me. She just said yes? I don't believe my ears at all. I didn't know what to do so I snaked my arms around her waist and hugged her tightly, but not tight enough to hurt her. In a couple of seconds her arms wrapped around my neck and I couldn't help but smile as wide as I could. "I do have a question though," she mentioned quietly. I loosened my grip so I could look into her beautiful green eyes an hummed to signal she could ask the question. Her eyes showed slight sadness as her smile faded slightly, "did Amy tell you I liked you?" My eyes softened slightly and I looked down at the ground trying to quickly think if it would ruin the friendship between Hayley and Amber; I nodded slightly looking back into Hayley's eyes. "Yeah she did, I was so shocked when she told me because I thought I was dreaming, you're so amazing and you're the most beautiful person I have ever laid my eyes on. I've loved you since we all moved into our house together and I feel so lucky to be the one to help you when you're sad," I explained, not holding back any emotions or feelings. She deserved to know how I felt. After all, she was now officially my girlfriend. "Can we keep us a secret for now? There's too much going on at the moment and I don't want to make things worse, sorry if I make things worse in your life at the moment," she apologised whilst looking into my eyes with sadness filling hers. I told her it was okay and hugged her tightly. When pulling out of the hug, I gently nudged her as to say we need to go find Amber, Tyler, and Lucas.

When we got to the music room, we saw that Amber and Tyler were sat in their usual places and Lucas was on his phone, obviously texting someone. As I went to sit down in my usual spot, which was next to Lucas now he's started sitting with us, but as I sat down I saw he was texting Aria but I only saw the text he was typing before he quickly shut it off and put it in his pocket.

To Losers:
Z: guess what I've just seen on our good friend Luke's phone.
Z: a text saying 'Well, they're trusting me enough to let me sleep in their house, just a few more days then you can bully them again'
Ty: told you he was up to something, was it to his precious Aria by any chance?
Z: it was indeed, can we kick him out yet or are we gunna be the evil things we are and see what happens? ;)
Amy: EVIL!!!!
Hay: kick him out
Z: I say evil so it's up to you Ty
Ty: maybe kick him out the band so he can't ruin that for us but still be friends with him o see what happens

I look up to see Hayley looking upset at something so I move myself across to her to help her calm down, doing this was normal for us so it didn't make it obvious we were together yet but I'm sure Amber and Tyler already know by now.

"So are you two a thing now?" Lucas asked giving me a dirty look. "No they're not and you should mind your own business, we don't need to tell you anything," Tyler spoke, "please leave, you're out of our band so take your guitar and leave." I lightly chuckled at how defensive he is over his friends but quickly made it look like I was coughing so Lucas or Aria didn't hurt Hayley. They always hurt her even if it was one of us doing something they didn't like and I don't understand why. I feel pointless, as though I can't stick up for her because if I did she'd get hurt more. As he stood up I heard Amber say "you're still welcome to come to our house after school but we just feel that our band worked better with one guitarist, sorry." She wasn't wrong but I didn't want him anywhere near Hayley. I had a bad feeling about him from the first day he was sitting with us but Hayley and Amber trusted him and I couldn't fall out with my two best friends.

"Please stay with me as much as you can, I don't feel safe alone anymore" Hayley whispered in my ear, and honestly, I couldn't agree with her more. "It's okay, I'm always going to be with you don't worry" I whispered back. When I looked back, Lucas was walking out the door and from where I was sat, I saw him smirking. I looked at Tyler to see if he saw as well but without saying anything I could see the anger in his eyes which basically gave me my answer. As much as I'd love to see what Tyler would do, I wouldn't let him as we had two shows tomorrow. One for school and one for the club just down the road from us which we perform for every Friday night.

Occasionally some regulars to the club would tell us to start writing our own album and that they would help us pay to produce it but Hayley and Amber didn't want to do that just yet because of exam season coming up soon. We had all agreed that we will before college so we could all still perform but with our own music instead of other artists music.
