Chapter 7: Finding my body

Kojiro's POV

"Yeah, I know it doesn't make any sense to me, either." I said to a very confused Rangiku.

"So, what, are you going to look for your body, then?" She said with her hands on her hips.

"Well, yeah, but I can't figure out where the soul reapers went with my body. Hmmmm... Wait! Don't you know where they went?!" I asked, shaking her.

"Well, I did see Ichigo and his friends going this way." She said, pointing west.

"Great, let's go!" I said, dragging her behind me.

"Whoa!" She yelled out as I was pulling her behind me.

Rangiku's POV

"Whoa!" Man, this guy is strong! He's probably strong enough to... never mind.

I told him which direction they went, and now he's running the speed of sound.

I didn't know he could run this fast! I can barely keep up with him! 

Kojiro's POV

 If Rangiku was right, they should be around this corner, and.... ah ha! There they are!

"Waiit!" I call out.

Kita turns around. "Rangiku?" 

"Don't go just yet!" She calls out. "I have important news to tell you!" She then stopped in front of them, panting.

 "Sorry, ma'am, but we have to go, now!" One of the Soul reapers carrying a stretcher said.

I heard Rangiku gasp.

She went over to my body and felt the face.

"He's not gone, you know." She said as she stood up straight. "What do you mean by that?" Rukia, Kita, and Ichigo ask at once.

"His spirit still lives. He's standing right here." She said as she pointed at me.

"Where?" They ask.

Just as I said that, I walked up to them. Then, I tried to touch Kita, but as usual, my hand went through her.

She shivered again. "The chills, again?" Ichigo asks, tilting his head.

"Yeah, but this time it felt like a hand touched me..." Then, as soon as she said that her zanpakuto, Kage, started to glow a dark green.

Kita's POV

"Huh?" I said as I reached for Kage.

The hilt of the blade.... it's... glowing. What does it mean? Something touched my shoulder...

I turned to my right, and saw.... a spirit.

"Kita..." He called out to me...

"You don't know who I am, don't you?" I then looked at him a little more closely His eyes are the same as Kojiro's... silver.

He also has smooth tan skin, no scars, and long, black hair that reaches his hips. He's wearing a white ghi, a white belt, and a white hakama.

I can't help but say "Kojiro?"

He then nods his head, and says "That's right, I'm here, Kita."

I then, run to him and hug him tightly, as tears escape my eyes. "It's all right, I'm here. I missed you too." His calming voice said as he stroked my head.

"Uhhh, Kita?" Ichigo says. "What are you doing?"

Well, that ruined the moment.

I wipe my tears away, and say "I'm hugging Kojiro's spirit. Can't you see him?" Ichigo looks around and says "I can't see him. Wait..."

Then, Ichigo looks at my zanpakuto. "Hmmm...." He says,rubbing his chin. "That's it! Kita! Your zanpakuto! It allows you to see things we can't!"

He knows what my zanpakuto ability is?  I was wondering why I could see Kojiro, and why the others can't.

I looked down at my zanpakuto. The hilt changed.

Two holes appeared in the hilt. They're big enough for me to look through. I lift it up and look through the two holes.

I gasped. There are many spirits among us.

"These are the forgotten spirits among us." Kojiro says as he waves his arm towards the many people's spirits around us.

There were old people, young people, children, infants, and animals too.

Kojiro walks past me and stands by my side, holding me. He's so comforting... I've never seen this side of him before...calm, gentle, and caring....

I think I'm falling for him....

Soul Reaper's POV

I wish these guys would hurry up, and finish their so-called "reunion."

Kojiro's POV

"Let's go." I tell Kita in her ear.

She blushed and said "Okay..."

She then tells everyone that she's ready. And, suddenly, a gate appears before us.

A man steps through. He has long, red hair in a ponytail. He's holding his zanpakuto in his left hand, sheathed.

Reji Arabai.

I figured he'd show up sooner or later.
