i watched as she

leaned against the old

bricks, a cigarette

between her fingers

and her lips redder than

the blood coursing through

my veins. she stared

straight ahead as if

the wind tossing

her hair and the

loud traffic didn't

exist - as if the world

around her didn't exist.

i didn't know her name,

but i knew

that if i ever did, i'd

never forget it.
