she started skipping class
and ignoring my phone
calls. the smiles seemed
to fade away and the tears
seemed to appear more
and more. she no longer
walked with confidence in
her stride, she wrapped her arms
around herself as if wishing she
could disappear. all i wanted to
do was wrap her up in my arms
and tell her that it was okay, that
it was going to be okay and that
we were going to make it
together. but i couldn't, because
she didn't want me, no matter
how much i wanted her.
