Epilogue

*Abigail's POV*

As I walked down the hall, a memory hit me and I giggled in nostalgia. The memory was of how emotional and vulnerable my dad had seemed two hundred years ago. Yep, you heard right. I was two hundred thirty years old now.

"Abigail!" A young girl's voice exclaimed. "You're back!"

"I am." I replied, picking her up and walking deeper into the palace.

"You've been gone a long time, my dear." Cupid said, walking up with a fatherly smile on his face.

"Have I?" My brow crumpled.

"Four years."

I volunteered to help Cupid, to get the children more food and supplies. Of course, North was very eager to help.

"My my, it has been a while."

"Where have you been?"

"Home. Mom and Dad missed me and I needed to attend to a family dispute. Those families in America can be very stubborn."

"That they can."

"Where's Michael?" Stretching to my tip toes, I scoured the room for the boy.

"He left, went to stay with Aurora."

"Oh, okay. I should go visit in a few weeks."

Aurora was the other love spirit to use the Greek symbol of love in her work. She and I had met briefly, but I hadn't become close to her at all. I think it had been over a decade since I last saw her or the other Guardians.

Tooth, Sandy, and Bunny I might run into occasionally when they came out, but North I didn't see very often. Even though I went to him to get food for the kids and Cupid, I spoke to the yetis, not him. Dad had seen them way more recently than I, but still I think it's been years.

Everything was quiet and, aside from quarrels that I solved, boring. I missed everyone, to be honest. They were my family, we shouldn't be apart for so long.

"Abby, there you are." Said Brandon as he walked up to me.

"Here I be." I smiled. "I was just about to head to the Tooth Palace."

"Well, she won't be there. I heard that she's flying with her fairies now."

"Oh." My face fell. I really missed her. "Then I'll go see Bunny."

"Already tried. He's too busy to talk."

"That's right, Easter's two days from now. Sandy, for sure, wouldn't mind if I tagged along with him."

"I tried to find him yesterday. Dad said he likes to work in solitude sometimes and he's in one of those moods lately." Mom and Dad were both out right now, they'd been inseparable lately.

Sighing, I decided to go see North. With a smile my brother agreed to come with me and we headed off.

The Workshop was busier than usual, I noticed yetis outside with tables even. I guess Dad was helping keep the sky clear so they could work. It was getting late, so I could ask Manny what was going on.

"North wanted to clear out space inside; the space he wanted to use had become cluttered. In a few days he'll bring them back in."

Nodding, I walked inside and met a wall of yetis and elves, all shouting and scurrying around. I flew above them, trying to figure out what was going on, but couldn't see due to the globe.

I flew around it, hearing more than gibberish at that point. "Brandon, you lied to me!" I exclaimed, descending to the ground.

"Hi, Abigail!" Tooth exclaimed, flying up. "Have you been brushing well? Look at those teeth! They're gorgeous!"

"Tooth, hands out of mouth." North said in an amused tone.

"Sorry! It's just really nice to see you!"

"It's nice to see you too."

"I knew there was a reason Jack and Brandon called us here." Bunny said with a smile on his face.

"You two arranged this? Thanks! Hi, Bunny. Why are you here? Tomorrow's Easter."

"Well, I was busy, but when Brandon asked me to come, I figured I could get a bit of help."

"I'd be glad to!"

"It has been a long time, hasn't it, Abigail?" North laughed. "I always miss when you come to get food!" His booming laugh was louder than everything else in the Workshop, which was really loud.

"Why is it so loud in here anyway?" I asked.

"Oh," he waved it off, "yetis like talking. Now, all of us are going to Warren! To the sleigh!"

Bunny chuckled dryly. "You never learn, do ya, mate? My Warren, my rules." With that, he tapped his foot on the ground and we all started falling.

When we got out, I immediately set to painting. Mom and Dad played around like children, which made me happier than words could describe. But Bunny got upset at them for wasting paint, and the peaceful quietness of the Warren was interrupted by Mom's laughter as Dad tickled her. They acted like a newlywed couple, I thought.

"Oy!" Bunny shouted, smacking Dad. "You can flirt later! Come help with the eggs, why don't ya?" So Dad froze his lips closed. Brandon and I were laughing hysterically at them by this point, along with the others.

So, my life wasn't perfect. Maybe another, weaker person would rise up and taunt me, Cupid, Aurora, and any other spirits of love that there might be, but I had the Guardians at my back. My family. Mom, Dad, Brandon, none of them would let anything hurt me, and the same goes for me. My center? Selflessness. I was selfless, which got me into a touch of trouble now and again, but even so, Manny still had my back and would talk me through everything when I needed his help.

Proud, selfless, loving, kind, maybe a touch sarcastic. That's me, and I'm glad. I learned to live with my faults (many of which Brandon would point out when mad at me), and embrace them as a part of me. My name is Abigail Frost, and I was a Frost at birth.
