TORI

The Avengers Tower is booming with, well.....the Avengers. Everyone begged us to do a cliche gender reveal thing (mainly Tony and Sam), so that's exactly what we're going to do. Steven and I don't know the gender of our baby yet either, but Natasha does. She filled a balloon with blue or pink confetti with a grin and set it inside of a cabinet where no one would find it.

I'm on my seventeenth week, so I'm getting close to halfway through, meaning that my stomach is getting bigger and things are getting harder to do. Sleeping has been a struggle, my brain is flustered, but all is well.

Tony giddily dances around the tower, making a ballot of who thinks it will be a boy and who thinks it will be a girl. So far, it's half and half out of the few people who are here, so that's a good start.

"Baby Tony," my brother claims every time he walks past Sam.

"Little Samantha," Sam shoots back to him through gritted teeth.

I just roll my eyes, ignoring them the best I can. I'm trying to enjoy myself, but I'm just sick and tired of everything. All I want is to pop this kid out and actually get what I bargained for, not all the attention and commitment that leads up to it. However, it's a huge milestone to know the gender because that means in just a few months we'll be seeing our little son or daughter.

Steve is rather thrilled over everything. He hasn't stopped smiling all day. In fact, you can pretty much feel the joy radiating off him. He's so excited to find out, as I am, but he is beaming. He can't be any more excited right now than he already is. He keeps complaining for Natasha to give him the balloon so he can stick a needle in it. I at least have patience with it all, unlike most people here.

"Naaaat," my husband whines to Natasha. "Why can't we do it now?"

"Because I want to wait it out," she smiles, swirling her drink around in her cup.

Steve furrows his eyebrows at her confusedly, tilting his head to the side in question.

"She means she wants to watch you suffer," I translate to him, setting a hand on my hip.

His expression hastily shifts from puzzled to a kicked puppy, widening his baby blue eyes and giving me a small frown. At least he knows I'm right. Steve's arm snakes around my waist, pulling me close to him. I smile up at him, wanting to question his actions, but the grin that crawls around his pink lips ceases my wonders.

"I really, really hate that woman right now," he says through gritted teeth that still show a forced smile.

"I do too, but we have to make her happy because she could easily kill you without second thought," I remind him in a low voice, meeting his gaze. "Besides, patience is a virtue, honey."

"Something that I do not have," my husband replies.

I nod, not able to disagree with him. I scan at the several faces surrounding us. Tony is amongst them, his cheeks flushed from his over exhilaration. My brother's eyes shift to me quickly, and he sprints happily towards us.

"Vision just gave me an idea," he chimes.

Steve's arms tenses around me, pulling me closer to his side protectively. "If it has anything to do with shoving my kid into those suits you plan on building, I will bash your head in."

"Steven!" I scold.

"Okay, I'm over exaggerating," he confesses. "I'll have his head on a stick."

Tony gasps dramatically, lightly pressing his fingertips flat to his chest. "I am offended," he breathes. "But as I was saying before Mr. Rogers so rudely interrupted me, Vision said that if it's a girl I should expect the name to be Antonia, which I do."
