TORI
It's dawn when we arrive in Paris. Everyone drifts out of their deep sleeps, ready to begin the mission. Natasha, Sam, and I change into civvies, but we are all still armed. Steve, Tony, Wanda, and Vision are ready to go in their uniforms.
Steve comes up behind me as I throw on my green jacket, placing a black baseball cap on my head. I roll my eyes, glancing at his sweet smile.
"We're not called Team Cap for nothing," I laugh, adjusting the hat on my head.
"Hey, I try," he retorts, planting a kiss on my cheek.
"Yes," Nat hums next to us, a smirk crawling across her cheeks. "You try. Baseball caps don't do much, Steve."
"Reason why I have my collar up and sunglasses, Nat," I inform her, brushing my hair behind my shoulder.
"You would've had that collar up anyways," Tony pipes up from the front of the quinjet.
"Shut up, Anthony," I hiss, lacing up my black combat boots.
"What can I say? You've always done it! A little habit of yours that just can't seem to go away," he replies.
Nat stands next to me, ready to go in her short tan trench and aviators. Sam adorns the usual black leather jacket, sunglasses, and burgundy baseball cap. He stuffs Redwing into his pocket, just in case he is needed. I bite my lip, trying to think of possible things to look out for while we're down in the city. All of those tourists, the buzz, it's all most likely going to be a main target. And frankly, I think we should just lay low in parts that seem to be relatively calm but have all of those people there.
Steve hands me a comm, and I put it into my ear to make sure that it works. "Please don't hurt yourself out there."
"Same to you," I smile. "And I'll have to kill you if you and Tony pick a fight with each other."
"Now why would I do that?" he smirks, picking up his shield and heading towards the exit of the quinjet. I follow, as do the others, to split into our designated areas. "We'll all meet back here once the job is done," he says to everyone, referring to the quinjet. "If anyone needs backup, let the other group know."
"Can do, Cap," Sam says, giving him a quick salute.
Steve rolls his eyes, heading out. "I wish you all good luck."

"So, the wedding's in May?" Sam inquires, distracting me from my thoughts.
"Yeah," I reply, scanning the crowd. Sam, Nat, and I sit at separate tables in a small outdoor café, waiting for the next attack. "You guys any surveillance other than those couple of cops sitting around?"
"Nope," Nat whispers through the comms. "The only cameras that I can see are at the doors leading into the inside of the café, the bank across the street, and a few ATMs. This is a pretty good spot for another attack."
"And it's far from any tourist hotspots," I add, taking a sip of my tea. "The closest one is the Grand Palais and the Eiffel Tower across La Seine, so we're a little ways away from a ton of people."
"How can you pronounce all these things so perfectly?" Sam asks. "Are secretly French, or something?"
I scoff, taking another sip of my tea. It's a little too sweet for my taste, but I'm going to need the energy. "No, but I was stationed here when I worked for SHIELD and was fluent in the language."
"Cool," Sam chimes.
I scan our surroundings once more, looking for anything suspicious. Thank God I did because I spot something very intriguing. "Hey guys," I speak through my comm. "See that guy leaning against the wall across the street?"
