The mighty Anduin was kind as the travelers sought out toward Gondor but something in the air made them all nervous for something was not right. The feeling was not the same as when there had been orcs or goblins, this feeling was something different and no one liked it but also did not openly speak of how they felt.

Once they pulled the watercrafts from the river Aragorn noticed another elvish boat coming toward them. Ryker had been at the opposite bank and was coming back toward them now and so they did not wander far for they wanted to know what news she had.

When she came to shore her usual arrogance was replaced with complete seriousness.

She walked straight up to Aragorn and in a low voice said, “There are no patrols on the opposite shore.”

Aragorn was not sure if this news was good or bad but he nodded his appreciation to her and she stepped closer to him and spoke in a low voice that only he could hear. “Something is coming. Something worse than orcs.”

“What were the signs?” Aragorn asked.

“There has been no sign but I feel it in my heart.”

The word heart cut Aragorn at this time and he scoffed, “What heart?”

Her eyes flared with anger and the hate radiated from her causing all the members of the fellowship to turn to look at her. She took an intimidating step forward and even though she was shorter than Aragorn and he had to look down upon her he still took a step back.

Her voice was loud enough for the others to hear her but her tone was one mixed with furry, pain, and sorrow. “You know nothing of heartless! You are too blind and fool hearted to even recognize heartless when it parades under your nose like a pretentious snake! When you burry a young innocent girl that has had her hips dislocated from being violated, face shattered because she screamed, and wrists broken because she resisted you know who the heartless one is! The scoundrel, in whom you feel I heartlessly murdered, raped not women but young girls that had not even reach womanhood! He allowed his noblemen to violate my people as they lay dying! They cut off fingers for the rings they wore, cut unborn children from their mother’s stomach because they could, cut off the men’s privates so to degrade them even in death, cut children’s noses from their faces as some sort of sick game and yet you accuse me of being heartless!”

By this point she was screaming, “For being born to rule you are most ignorant and blind! You blame me for the evil his woman placed upon the lands but yet the people had not the courage to stand up and stop her! She did not mourn the loss of her husband, she had found a way to justify her acts of jealousy toward all those that were fair. It was because of her vanity and the people’s fear the girls were killed. It would have taken only one man to rally the people to stop her! I simply killed the alpha male. Destroyed the leader and weakened the pack but yet others allowed that alpha female to unleash her tyranny! Now tell me who is heartless? You can blame me all you want for unleashing that beast but don’t you ever call me heartless again!”
