Midnight.
The moon was hidden in dark clouds and the scent of rain seemed to weigh everything down more but rain, snow, or hurricane, she was going to escape.
Outside the door she easily and silently slew her guards and propped them up so they would appear to be doing their job.
She followed the instructions and went up and up even though inside she wanted to go down until she came to the room where she entered and she was struck with the heavy musk of Thayonidas but the air in the room told her was he was not present but something was present in the room that made her feel hate.
She went to the table and there was a familiar sword sitting on the table. She knew this sword and knew the one whom once wielded it. She did not know her well but she had died when Kordelia was only a young girl but she remembered seeing the woman and remembered the sword with its emeralds, gold design, and sparkling true silver or mithrel as it was also called that would never break.
The rage inside of her desperately tried to escape and take control as she knew what this meant. Thayonidas was involved with the slaying of her people! But deep down it didn't make sense.
She was going find out just before she let him bleed out by the Alexzandron blade!
She took the sword and went to the secret passage and scurried down dark narrow stairs until she came to the exit which was just outside of gates but before she emerged from what could only be described as under a rock, she heard voices. One in which was familiar, Thayonidas!
"I will investigate the woods and if the rumors are true and there are dwellers I can assure you that they will not dwell in the forest forever but without their heads."
He was such a cruel beast and had to die but first she would allow him to go deep into the forest where she will bring him an intimate death. One in which he has been asking for since he brought her to this prison.
Cunningly she followed him as the sword on her hip begged to be unsheathed and once again be baptized in blood of evil. The mist grew thick but she kept on his trail until she heard something ahead in which seized her attention.
Rapidly she went ahead and what was in a clearing with a blue fire was something she was not sure she could believe. There stood many bodies but not the sort of bodies one might be familiar with. There was a band of skin changers, ents, forest and water nymphs, werewolves, three small dragons only the size of a horse, and many other creatures and being that have long been thought gone.
Behind her she heard Thayonidas approaching and she wondered, "Was this the army in which he spoke of?"
He never broke stride making her know that he was knew what he was getting into and not once did he draw his sword. He stopped seven feet in front of the bush she was in and without turning he said, "Would you care to meet your army?"
She seemed to appear out of no where and he smiled more as he saw the saber she proudly wore. At that moment she knew she had been hoodwinked. He was the one in which set up the escape and knew she was there when he told the guard his plan. He wanted to get her here and prove he was not a liar but he had forgotten the lie about one Alexzandron left in the world.
Slowly she drew the sword and said, "Before I kill you, tell me where you stole this from." And she held up the sword.
He stood a bit prouder but his eyes betrayed his sorrow and he said, "Meet your army and I will tell you everything.
A screech from the sky sounded and made the hair on her neck stand on end but she did not allow her eyes to drift from Thayonidas, the deceitful monster that was bound to destroy her.
