Chapter Two (Macy POV)

I got to school and started for my first class, P.E. It wasn't long after I heard the tapping of feet behind me that Dan grabbed my shoulders and yelled in my ear, trying to scare me. I turned and looked at him. "Nice try Dan." I said patting his shoulder, He huffed and crossed his arms.

"You're no fun." He groaned.

"Am I supposed to be?" I asked.

"I guess not but you could at least try." He said.

"Anyway we get out early today cause there's a really bad storm coming our way and they think It'll create a mud slide that'll bury the school." I said heading to the girls locker room.

"And I hope it does, this place sucks anyway." Dan said.

"Yes but if it does we'll just have to go to a school that unaffected by the slide, which probably means it'll be further away, which means getting up earlier, playing for a possibly rival soccer team, and most likely spending less time with me because of homework." I pointed out, walking in the girls locker room.

He followed behind me "Uuuuuuuuuuuuugh, You and your possibilities, Where do you even come up with that." He said.

"Don't ask it just happens." I said looking at him, "Now get out this is the girls locker room, are you a girl?"

"Not at all, see you in second block." He blushed and walked out.

~skip school~

School let out even earlier because of the heavy rain and the mud above the school shifting, Dan and I were running back to my grandparents house because they live closer to the school than his parents. We were almost there when I heard a rumble and a.... roar? I looked around and finally spotted my grandparents house, one bad thing, a mudslide was headed right for it. "We won't make it." I said, but I couldn't stop now, I had to get there and make sure they aren't in the house. But of course Dan didn't want me to get hurt so he grabbed me and pulled me away from the house.

"No!! Stop!! I have to make sure they're not in the house!!" I yelled at him to put me down, tears welled up in my eyes as I watched the mudslide engulf my grandparents house,
I hardly noticed the extremely loud roar until Dan yelled.

"What the Heck was that!?!?" I looked around and I saw a giant winged creature dive out of the sky and rip open the roof of the house, after it dug around for a second it opened it's wings again and took off, with my grandparents in it's claws. I was terrified of what it might do to them, then it turned and headed straight for us, Dan picked me up and started to run away. The creature dove down and outstretched it's hind legs and grabbed us with clawed feet.

I would have screamed for help but no one would hear me over the rain and the sound of its beating wings, I struggled to get away when I heard something. Stop struggling Trabea, I will protect you. The voice rang out in my head like a gong, It was loud and nerve racking, but it was calm and soothing, I was having a hard time deciding whether I should be afraid or if I should give in and calm down.

We flew until we were out of the storm, the creature put us down in a valley and landed beside us, once I got a good look at it I gasped, it was a dragon, it was mostly black with blue wings and a blue underbelly, and there was green going from the back of its head to the end of it's tail. "What are you?" The question shot out of my mouth before I could stop myself.

Do you really not remember me? My name is Fulgur, I am a Lightning darkness dragon from the land of Caelum. The voice said in my head again.

"Is that you? Who is speaking in my head?" I asked.

Yes. It said.

"How is this possible? Can the others hear you or just me? Why did you save us?" The questions shot from my mouth like bullets from a mini gun.

No the others cannot hear me, not unless I let them, I saved you because you were in danger, and for how this is possible. It paused and looked me in the eyes.

I am your sister............
