After I passed Macy and Dan in the hall I gave her a reassuring smile. I heard their whole conversation, but I wasn't worried, this is what needed to happen. It was my mission, I had to find out if any of the government here knew about dragons. I walked into the office and saw Dr.Cally and Luckus.
"Oh, it's the interrupters again." I said with a sly smirk.
"Ah, the tomboy." Dr.Cally said. "now, you'll be coming with us." she got up and some government people came in and restrained me, we were out of there within 5 minutes and my mind went back to Macy and Dan.
Get your head out of the clouds, my mission is to report whether the government knows about Caelum and plans to attack or not. Not to make friends with Macy. I told myself.
We drove for what felt like hours but I guess that was just me because it was only 30 minutes. When we stopped the got me out of the vehicle and took me into a building, I was silent as the put me in a room with a table and a mirror. I sat down in one of the seats and hid my ears in my hair under my cap just in case. The only door to the room opened and Dr.Cally walked in with two big men behind her, both had bullet proof vests and guns in their hands. "I know you must be confused on why they are heavily armed, but we don't know what kind of threat you pose." Said Dr.Cally.
"Tell me Samantha, do you believe in Dragons?" I asked out of the blue.
"It's a child's dream, Dragons aren't real. But why do you ask." She said narrowing her eyes at me.
"Because I personally believe it's completely possible for dragons to exist but hey, it's our opinion." I said.
"Where did you come from?" Samantha asked.
"Uuuuuuh, my mother." I said like it was obvious.
"No, I mean, where on this earth did you come from?" she said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because all the record we found on you were simple and said, Gender: Female, Age: 18, Birthday: August. I don't know where you came from but that's a little too simple for my liking." she said.
"What's wrong with short and sweet, my mom was lazy when she filled it out ok." I said.
"Take off your hat." she said coldly.
I sighed and took my cap off, uncomfortably keeping my ears under my hair "it's off. What do you plan to do, strip search me? Because you should have done that when there weren't guys in the room." I said.
"Why would you care, aren't you lesbian?" she asked.
"Well you're good at assuming, no I in fact am not, Macy was helping me get used to having people close to me for the date I had planned tomorrow." I said looking at her offended "Macy was just joking when she said that stuff yesterday."
"I'll believe that, she seemed fairly fond of that boy Dan Collins she was with." Samantha said putting her elbow on the table and putting her head in her hand "why don't you tell me who you're going on a date with."
"Ash, but don't bother asking his last name because I don't know." I said.
She picked up a tablet she had with her and typed something, she held it up and there was a picture of Ash "is his last name possibly Black?" she said pointing at his name.
"I guess it is, that is him." I said simply, sorry Ash guess I'll be taking a rain check on our date.
"Well, we might have to question him to." Samantha said handing the tablet to one of the guys.
"That won't be necessary, he's clueless, and we haven't even known each other for very long." I said laughing nervously.
"All the more reason to question him since you're nervous." she said.
I took a deep breath and calmed myself "I assure you he knows nothing." I said.
She sighed "whether he knows nothing or not doesn't matter right now, you denying it is making him all the more suspicious, and you're not helping yourself either." she snapped.
I snarled and my eyes flashed like my dragon form for a second "don't snap at me." I snapped right back "I'm trying to be peaceful but you humans are impossibly stubborn."
"You humans?" she questioned narrowing her eyes again.
Dang it!!! I'm such an idiot!!!!! I thought to myself. "Well we are human aren't we?" I asked trying to fix my screw up.
"Hmmmm, restrain her." Samantha said, the two men approached me cautiously and grabbed each one of my arms. I didn't fight them, I had no reason to. Samantha got up and came over to me "there's a strange lump on your head, wonder what it is." she said, she reached up and grabbed my ear and pulled on it hard. I yelped and my other ear poked out of my hair in shocked.
I glared back at her "you know it's rude to pull on people's ears." I growled, I yanked my head away and lowered my ears to the side of my head.
"Well luckily you're not human, so you don't have our rights." Samantha said.
"What defines a human? a human being, especially a person as distinguished from an animal or in science fiction an alien. You can obviously tell I look human, so in definition I am human, so I have your rights." I hissed, I let my tail uncurl from around my body because I didn't have anything left to hide, or at least what was on my body.
"Now tell me, Macy Rivers, does she know anything about this?" Samantha asked motioning to my tail and ears "does she know anything about the 'thing' in the forest near her house?" she narrowed her eyes.
I paused and glared at her quickly "no." I said simply.
Samantha considered me for a moment before opening her mouth and speaking "get the other girl."
