Dan walks with his girlfriend Briana down to the school lobby as they get ready to go out a buy something for lunch.
"You sure you don't want anything to drink or eat?" Dan turns and gives a fairly stupid smile as always.
"Yes, I'm sure that I don't want anything, besides I don't like wasting your money."
"It's not wasting it if its for you child."
"Still.." she says as she rolls her eyes a bit.
They exit the school building and start making there way to a corner store.
"Wait, let me check how much money i got before we go." Dan says as he takes out his wallet and checks in it.
To his suprise it was empty and realisation hits him pretty hard leaving him embarrassed and dumbfounded. He quickly tried to create an excuse as to explain for his forgetfulness.
"Crap, my money's upstairs, ugh I swear I'm not functioning well today, I'm sorry."
"It's okay, I'll wait here, just go up and get it" Briana says with a smol chuckle.
Washed with relief and still feeling a bit stupid Dan smiles.
"Alright I'll be right back."...
