Chapter 38.
Slowly, I opened my eyes and lifted my head off of Harry’s shoulders. Once my vision became clear and once I’m fully aware that I’m on a moving train, I faced Harry to see him sleeping peacefully. Even in his sleep, he still manages to be a very good-looking guy. I wish I could do that, because, I probably look like a dead fish while I sleep. Okay, now that I think of it, I think I look like a dead fish most of the time.
Harry shifted in his sleep, making me snap my head in the other direction, to the window. I noticed that the sun is already up and judging by the position of the sun, it’s probably around 8am or 9am. I learnt that in school a few years ago, and I think it got pretty handy. Even though it’s not that accurate, it’s still estimation.
“Hey.” Harry’s sleepy voice rang in my ear.
Wow, I love his sleepy voice. It’s so deep and sexy.
I stared at him with a semi-shocked face for a little while until he raised his eyebrow up.
“What?” He questioned.
“Is there something on my face?” He rubbed his mouth, and then his noise and then last, his eyes.
“Yeah, actually, there’s something in here.” I pointed at his cheek.
“What is it?” He rubbed his cheek with his hand and then took a look at his own hand.
“It’s still there.” I pointed at his cheek again.
He repeated his previous action and looked at me, and then his hand.
“Is it gone?” He asked me.
“I’m just kidding.” I laughed and his face broke into a smile.
“I’m so going to get you for that.”
“Hey, how many more minutes till we arrive?”
He checked his watch and looked back at me.
“In half an hour.” He replied and I nodded and looked back at the window.
The train was going by fast and almost everything is blur, but from what I can see, my surroundings are more of trees and lakes. There are no buildings around here. It looks so peaceful and it would actually look nice and calm to live around here.
It would be like Cinderella, except without the dwarves and animals; instead I have my prince charming living with me already. I guess that’ll be nice.
Slowly, the train slowed down. The view is becoming clearer and a bit less blurry. When the train came into a complete stop, a few people from the train stood up with their belongings and left the train. Some people also entered the train with their suitcases, some with their mothers and fathers I’m guessing and some with their kids and family.
“We’re getting off in the next stop.” Harry said.
I nodded and looked back at the window. The train started at a slow pace, and then it gradually got faster until everything out the window was blurry. A few seconds has passed, and I heard someone walking nearby. I looked back from my seat and saw a man with a hat he’s probably around his 20s or younger and his head hanging low. He looks like those stereotypical people undercover, except he doesn’t seem as suspicious.
My eyes followed him until he reached my and Harry’s seating area. I notice that he’s holding a ticket and a suitcase. When he reached my and Harry’s seating area, he put his suitcase on top, and sat down in front of us. When he settled down, he immediately pulled out a newspaper and it fully covered his face. Hm, this guy doesn’t seem like a nice one. I don’t know, he just brings out the ‘mysterious’ aura.
