Chapter 9

Chorong fell to her knees and stared at the bed where Eunwoo had fallen asleep.

"Eu- Eunwoo" tears fell one-by-one as Chorong just kneeled there.

"Chorong-ah, get up" Suga patted her shoulder and tried to pull her back to stand up.

"Of all people, It just had to be Eunwoo. Of all human beings that could've been hiding there above us, it had to be him. Of all the people that were open to being abducted, they just had to take Eunwoo" Chorong didn't know what to feel, whether it was to burst into tears.

"Chorong, I know how much he means to yo-" "What the hell do you know?!" Chorong interrupted Suga who was trying to comfort her. "We've only known each other for not even an entire day! Like you said 'you don't have the right to know' Eunwoo was more than just my friend. He was like another brother to me! You have no idea how much I've wanted to make him my brother because he's an orphan! AN ORPHAN! And- and-" Chorong was slowly running out of words to say then Suga just suddenly hugged her.

Chorong calmed down but was surprised by his sudden action. "What are you doing?" she asked "Finally, you stopped yelling" he let go and put his hands in his pocket.

"Why did you do that?" Chorong asked "I knew you'd stop shouting at me if I surprised you with something" said Suga "anyway, I know we'll be able to find Eunwoo along with your family" he continued while walking out the door.

"Suga wait" Chorong stopped him from leaving, "What is it? Do you want to shout at me a bit more about how special Eunwoo is? Or how I shouldn't be saying anything since I have no idea about how important those people are in your life" Suga was emotionless while she was speechless. Was he mad? Or is he just being sarcastic? Those questions went around her mind that she couldn't leave the room for hours.

Knock Knock someone was at the door but Chorong ignored it since she was still spacing out about Suga.

"Chorong-ah, are you here?" it was Doojoon peeking out the door. He went closer to Chorong and said "are you alright? Suga told us what happened, we're sorry for not being able to-" "wait, Suga told you?" she interrupted Doojoon after hearing Suga's name. "Yeah, a few hours ago, he said you were upset and told us about the abduction then told us that you needed some space and we should go to you a bit later" he explained. "Now come on, you need to eat" Chorong nodded as they walked out the door.

Everyone was gathered at the biggest room there was but the people lessened because of the aliens that had come. Some were crying, others were injured and were being treated by Yoseob, and the rest were eating peacefully.

"How many people were abducted?" Chorong asked "about 70 people were abducted" Doojoon answered. She nodded and asked "if there was an opportunity, would we use it to get those people back or to get revenge on those people that got taken?" He sighed and answered "if it comes, you're in charge" he chuckled at the end of his sentence making Chorong a bit happier than a while ago.

"Okay, sit here while I go get you some food" Doojoon said and Chorong sat on the bench behind her. She watched him walk away then when she turned to look at the table, Suga was eating across her. She turned her back at him again and whisper/yelled "Doojoon Oppa!" he turned to her. She whispered/yelled again "why here?" Doojoon grinned and said "don't you like him?" but he turned away before she could even say anything again.

Chorong turned facing the table and Suga again but felt too awkward to talk to him after their little 'talk'.

Chorong stared at Suga every now and then but looked away to keep things less awkward. But as much as she wanted to speak to him, she felt a bit scared to do it because he might still be angry or something.

Chorong was about to say something but Suga finished his food already and stood up then walked away. She sighed "maybe he is mad" but she shook her head "why should I care? It's not like he's my boyfriend or anything". But that did not convince her to stop thinking about him. Before she could take another glance at Suga, Doojoon already put a tray of food in front of her and sat across her.

"What's wrong? You don't like it? If you don't then just tell me and not wait for me to take a hint" said Doojoon. Chorong shook her head and asked "can we make the opportunity?" "what opportunity?" asked Doojoon "can we make a chance to get back at those aliens?". "Chorong, please be patient, people here are injured, depressed, and still trying to understand what happened" Doojoon explained "I'm trying to look for a way too, but at the same time, I need to watch over these people. I am the leader after all" he continued.

Chorong looked back and saw Suga already walking out the door. Doojoon noticed it, "why don't you go talk to him, he doesn't have anyone else to talk to since Eunwoo, you know. Anyway, my point is, he hasn't spoken to anyone else. He only talks to you and who you talk to" Doojoon suggested.

"I can't, I don't know. I'm not even sure if he's mad at me or just giving me the cold shoulder" Chorong shoved a spoonful of food in her mouth and pouted while chewing. "And why would you care so much that he's giving you the cold shoulder?" Doojoon raised an eyebrow while smirking as he held the spoon halfway to his mouth but Chorong didn't see it.

"I don't know, it's like so much guilt builds up in me when I see his face but at the same time, there's something else. You know what, can we change the subject? Please?" Chorong didn't want Suga lingering in her head. She shoved more spoonfuls of food in her mouth. "Fine, if we did have a chance, what would you do?" Doojoon ate another spoonful of food. "Can't we just take who wish to go? Those who are ready I mean, and the others will continue to wait or recover from the invasion" Chorong suggested "how would you like to go against the aliens?" Doojoon asked. "I'll be bait" she immediately answered and Doojoon spat some food to the floor after what she said.

"BAIT?!" Doojoon stood up while staring at Chorong with a shocked expression. Everyone stared at him with shocked expressions too. He chuckled nervously and said "sorry" he sat back down and said "Chorong, I know how much you want to save Eunwoo and the rest of your family, but that's a bit too much" "but oppa, you said you know how much I want to save them so I'm going for the risk. They're important people to me and you know how tough I am, I can do this" Chorong pleaded.

Doojoon sighed and said "but you're not going alone. We will ask for tough volunteers too but please tell me you won't do this alone" Chorong nodded then Doojoon said "We'll ask for Suga's help". Her eyes widened then shook her head. "Why not? He knows how to protect you, you need him" he continued. "But oppa, he might still be mad" she pouted and ate more food "then I'll talk to him". Chorong sighed and just agreed with Doojoon.

Chorong looked at her tray and realized that she already finished her food. Doojoon saw it and said "come on, let's go put these away". She nodded and stood up with her tray in her hands.

They walked towards the kitchen but then someone shouted "Chorong unnie!!" she looked back and saw someone waving at her. It was the girl she and Suga had saved. Chorong waved back at the girl while walking backwards then Doojoon stopped walking and looked back at the girl.

Then, when Chorong turned around, she bumped into someone and dropped her tray. She was ready for her butt to land on the floor but it didn't happen. Her eyes were closed and she felt two arms around her. She opened her eyes and saw brown orbs staring deeply at hers with worry in his eyes.

It was Suga.
