Chapter 14

Chorong packed her things and prepared to leave the hideout to go to the surface, a hand blocked her face making her flinch a bit before she stopped walking.

She shoved the hand away and looked at who owned the hand, her jaw dropped and so did her anger. Instead, she began stuttering on what to say, what could she say to someone who is so good at doing that to her, it was Suga.

"Where are you going?" he asked with a stern voice. Chorong looked away from him and cleared her throat, "Why do you care?" she then was about to set a foot through the portal leading to the shed but Suga grabbed her wrist making her face him.

"People are rapidly decreasing from this place, do you want to help decrease the number of people here?!" he yelled at her. She pushed his hand away "I'm desperate alright!" she snapped back at him, anger boiled up in her "People I care for are part of those people that helped decrease the number of people here. If I die trying to get them back then so be it". He grabbed her shoulder but she shoved his hand away again. This guy should just leave me alone, why should he care if I died or got abducted.

Chorong walked through the portal then began running to Han River, like the alien guy said their spaceship was. But she had to hurry, she can't let it move somewhere again.

Han River wasn't far from where she was, she just needed to run around a few blocks.

Chorong hid behind a building when she finally reached a place close enough to a bridge by han River.

She looked around and searched for a shadow on any of the bridges, it's a good thing it was an early afternoon so she can spot a shadow.

Chorong eliminated several bridges one by one until she reached the last one.

She hid behind a huge garbage truck and saw a huge circular shadow on the bridge, she looked at what was floating above the bridge and saw nothing there. Like the alien guy said, their spaceship was invisible except for the shadow the spaceship owned.

She hesitated on approaching it but a thought came to her come one Chorong, you're so close to getting them back, you can't go back now she nodded to herself as if she agreed to what she was thinking then finally made a run towards it.

Suddenly, a huge door opened on the spaceship then a staircase when through the door as two unknown figures walked down the stairs. The aliens were very human-like but something was on their arms, they looked like tattoos, probably to differentiate the humans from the aliens.

Chorong hid back behind the garbage truck, trying her best to ignore the stink, then a hand covered her hand while an arm went around her waist. She tried to break free from the stranger's grip but it was useless, the stranger was too strong. Then once the aliens were out of sight and earshot, the stranger let go. Ready to hit the guy, her eyes widened at the face of the stranger.

"What are you doing here?" she asked "I should be asking you the same question" answered Suga. "You know aliens still run around Earth, so why would you go straight to one?!" he shouted/whispered to her. "I have to save my family" Chorong gritted her teeth.

"There were hundreds of identical spaceships, how would you know which one has you family in it? Later, you might not find any of them inside and end up getting killed or abducted!" he yelled. Chorong flinched a bit from his loud voice. It gave her fear of him.

Suga inhaled then exhaled and his voice softened "look, I'm just worried about you and-" "and what?" she cut him off. "Why should I worry you? I'm not dead, nor am I abducted. The people who are abducted are worrying me! What do you think the aliens did to them? Why do you think they're taking the humans away? These questions are killing me on the inside! Dying, knowing that they're alright will make me happy, why can't you let me save them?!", anger colored her eyes.

Suga sighed "I know you want to save them, but it will worry them how much you are willing to give just to get to them. If you died, they might die of worry, so please don't do this alone".

Chorong sighed "but- but- wait, alone? What do you mean?" she was confused with the last part of his sentence.

Suga held her shoulders "I know a way inside, let me help you, at least I won't be worried about you since I'm with you". Worry filled his eyes making her pity him but there was also a hint of fear in his eyes. He was scared of something, she knew it.

"Fine, how do we get inside?" Chorong gave in and let him go with her. Suga smiled and gave her a sudden hug. "What are you doing?" she asked "don't make me so worried next time, okay?" his chin was on her back as his arms were around her. His chest was beating rapidly, he probably ran after her.

He was hugging her for so long that she heard snoring. He fell asleep on her.

"Yah, I let you join me, wake up" Chorong tried shaking him but it was useless. He was getting even heavier and heavier until she couldn't hold him anymore.

She held his shoulders and made him kneel on the floor then she helped him sit properly on the floor then his head fell to her lap. Chorong sighed and looked over her head, the sun was slowly heading to the west, signifying that it was already a late afternoon.

Slowly, her eyelids got heavier, her body was tired, and she could barely keep her eyes open. She was slowly drifting to sleep.

She opened her eyes, everything was dark. There was nothing there with her. Suga was no longer sleeping on her lap, but she was still in the position she was in when she fell asleep.

Then something surprised her, Jimin was standing right in front of her.

"Jimin?" her eyes widened as she hurried to stand up and run to him.

"Noona, don't trust anybody" Jimin's words shocked her after she gained her balance after standing up.

"Jimin" she ran to him with tears forming in her eyes, it relieved her to see Jimin again. But he disappeared after she tried to reach out for him. She looked around and found him meters away behind her.

"Noona, trust is something deadly once given away, you can't just give it to just anybody especially him" his eyes were reddening. It wasn't Jimin, those weren't his sweet eyes.

"Jimin, what are you talking about?" as much as she wanted to cry, she couldn't. She can't let this unknown person see her weak spots.

"If you continue to give him your trust, it will kill you or lead you further from saving Jimin, Eunwoo, and Doojoon" he said giving her an obvious warning.

"Who are you? How do you know who I am and who I want to save. Are you the alien that warned me of where the spaceship was?" Chorong was desperate for an answer.

"I can't answer any of your questions dear human but I'm already warning you in the least violent way possible. If you want your other fellow humans back then you need to gain them but one won't be so easy to gain" his voice was slowly changing from Jimin's voice to a very high-pitched electronic voice.

"What do you mean by that? Can I get them back?" Chorong's tears disappeared. Now, she only felt desperation.

"Yes you can but there are certain objects you are to get. Every time the clock strikes midnight, we will send you something you must get then we will tell you where to leave it. Once you finish all we give, you will set all the other humans free" said the alien, it wasn't Jimin's voice he was using anymore, it was the alien voice.

Chorong hesitated Do I take it? Or not she waited for a long time to think. She didn't know if it was a good offer or not. Aliens were smart in different ways so she had to be cautious with what they offer to them humans.

She sighed "Deal, but are there any catches?" the alien smirked "smart human, if you succeed. You will find out what that catch is".

Before she could even say anything else, the alien disappeared and everything was getting brighter. She finally woke up.

Her eyes bolted open then the first thing she looked at was Suga sitting up straight with a worry filled expression. "Are you alright?" he asked but she hesitated.

Is Suga the guy I can't trust?
