"Arnell." Damitri Whispered. She was knocked out. "Wake up." He shook her. She groaned as she opened her eyes. Arnell grabbed her phone to check the time.

"Shit, I need to go home." She got up and began to gather her things together.

"I think you should stay with me." Damitri told her.

"Meech, I can't." She replied.

"You trust me?" He asked. She did trust him, and she knew he could protect her but August wasn't really a fan of Damitri. "They might try and hurt you to get to me." Damitri said. "And I ain't gone let that happen."

"Well, you have to explain that to him." Arnell told him while folding her arms. Damitri raised his eyebrow. "I'm not lyin' to August, Meech. He's goin' to find out, he always does."

After Arnell got ready, they drove to the car dealership and Damitri bought a brand new car. He figured that the other one he had was just a target.

When they got to Arnell's house, they went inside. Damitri just sat there as Arnell explained the situation to August. August didn't talk the whole time. He was probably trying to keep calm. He looked over at Damitri mad as hell.

"You got somebody out here trynna kill my sister?!" August fumed. Arnell just knew that this conversation wasn't going to end well.

"They wanna kill me, but I have a feelin' they might try to hurt her too."

"Are you dumb?" August asked while standing up. He walked towards Damitri and Arnell. "They wanna kill you, and you want me to let her go with you?" Arnell watched as her brother and boyfriend fought.

"Look, they prolly figured out where you live. If they don't know now, it's only a matter of time." Damitri stated. "What I can do is take her some place safe and protect her 'til I get this shit straight."

Damitri didn't understand why he had to explain anything to August. Arnell was old enough to make her own decisions.

"Nah, she fine right here, fam." August told him. He grabbed Arnell by her arm and snatched her away from Damitri. Damitri was trying to be respectful because that was Arnell's brother, but Arnell could tell that he wanted to punch the shit out of August.

Damitri shook his head. "If somethin' happens to her..." Damitri said looking over at Arnell.

"Ain't shit gone happen her!" August yelled. "Get the fuck out my house, man." He added.

"Nigga, you needa watch how the fuck you talkin' to me." Damitri warned. He was done being nice.

"Guys, stop, please." She begged. She didn't want things to escalate any further.

Damitri shook his head. "Call me if you need anything." Damitri said before kissing Arnell. After he left, August slammed and locked the door behind him.

"Damn, you mean." She said before leaving. Arnell walked up to her room and closed her door. She had school the next day and she was so nervous about it. She tossed and turned all night. Damitri FaceTime'd her until she fell asleep but she ended up waking up again.

Arnell sighed when she heard her alarm go off. She felt as if she didn't get any sleep.
After she was done getting ready, she walked outside and waited for August by his car. She looked across the street and saw Damitri's new car parked in front of the neighbors house. He got out and jogged over to her.
