School was over and Anthony and Arnell were sitting outside of the school talking. She was waiting on Jada to come out so they can go home.

"What do you want to do for our birthday?" Anthony asked Arnell while drinking his Gatorade.

Arnell laughed. The last time they had a joint birthday, they were still in elementary school.

"I don't know." Arnell shrugged.

Jada walked out of the building and in the direction of Arnell.

"That's fine. Let me know when you come up with something." He responded before jogging inside of the gym.

Arnell and Anthony were turning eighteen next month. He put her in charge of the party. They both weren't sure what they wanted to do. Anthony was thinking about going to get a tattoo or something but Arnell didn't really like that idea.

"Girl, I'm not used to y'all talking and shit." Jada chimed in.

Arnell didn't reply back. She walked to the car and waited on the passenger side.

"Ima just drop you off at the house real quick. I got somewhere to be." Jada said while applying a coat of lip gloss to her lips.

"What you gotta do?" Arnell interrogated.

"Dorian." Jada replied sticking her tongue out.

Arnell cringed at the comment Jada made.

"I don't know why you scrunching up your face for, you needa get you some dick, too."

Arnell waved her hand and dismissed her friend. She didn't need anything. Jada laughed while she closed the visor.

As soon as Arnell got out of the car, Jada pulled off. Arnell looked across the street and saw Damitri. He was talking to yet another bitch. She didn't real care, though. She unlocked the front door and walked in.

She was about to go upstairs to shower when someone knocked on the door.

"Y'all got some sugar?" Damitri asked.

Arnell furrowed her eyebrows. What did she look like to him?

"Nigga, the convenient store across the street do." She shot back.

"Done be like that." He said. "It ain't for me, it's for me girl. She baking a cake."

No this nigga didn't. She thought.

"Sounds like a personal problem. You got money, buy her some sugar." Arnell smirked while closing the door.

Damitri quickly stuck his foot in the door so Arnell couldn't close it.

"What are you doing?" She questioned.

He waved off her question and let himself in. He made his way into the back where the kitchen was. Arnell shook her head and crossed her arms. She wanted to know what in the hell he was doing just waking in like he owned the place.
