It was the last week of school before thanksgiving break and Arnell couldn't wait. All she had to do was make it through this week.
Arnell had been really dry with Jada since their argument. She didn't tell Jada, but she was thinking about moving out and staying with her brother. It wasn't just because of that one specific incident. Jada would always say stuff to purposely hurt Arnell.
It was lunchtime, Arnell went to the library instead of eating lunch with Jada in the cafeteria. She hated eating lunch with Jada, she always did the most, walking around and making a scene. Seniors ate lunch with freshman at lunch so Arnell didn't know who she was showing out for.
Arnell tapped away in the computer, looking up information for a book report she had to do for English.
"Hey." Someone spoke.
Arnell looked up. "What are you doing here?" She asked.
Shaydon pulled up a chair next to her and sat down.
"Jada told me where I could find you, I actually wanted to talk to you about something." He said pulling his chair even closer.
"Yeah?" Arnell replied. She hoped the it didn't have any thing to do with drama.
"I wanted to know if you were doing anything over break?"
"Nope." Replied with her eyes glued to the computer screen.
Shaydon grabbed Arnell's chin and pulled it in the direction of his face which made her smile.
"Go to dinner with me."
"You asking me on a date?" She teased.
"Yes, now is that a yes?" He asked.
Arnell nodded her head.
"Aight." He said biting down on his lip. "I'll catch you later."
Shaydon kissed Arnell's forehead before walked out of the library and left Arnell in shambles. He was so darn cute.
Arnell finished her research and left the library. She made her way to the cafeteria to meet up with Jada. No surprise, Jada was sitting with Anthony and Jay. Jada was always in her brothers' face. Arnell didn't say anything when she sat at the table.
The table grew quiet once Arnell was there. She look up and they all were staring at her. "What?"
"Hey." Her brother said. Arnell was surprised. It seemed like forever since the last time they spoke.
"Hi, Ant." She replied.
"Come to the line with me, Jada." Jay suggested.
He was trying to get Arnell and Anthony alone so they could talk.
"For what? You are more than capable of going to get lunch with no help."
Of course, Jada had to be the one to make everything difficult.
"Man, just bring yo ass." He shot back.
