Aidan's P.O.V.
She was talking to some guy on the phone. It irritated me. I hope he's not her boyfriend, though.
Because of my luck, I can hear everything they're saying pretty clearly.
The guy, Nate, was saying how much he missed her, even though she left this morning.
Finally, she hung up!
"Sorry about that," she apologized.
"No problem. Who was that?" I said, trying to hide the jealousy in my voice.
"My boyfriend. He's so sweet." she said, lovingly.
Great! Now I guess I have no chance. Well, I didn't think I could just sweep her away. As soon as her aunt called my parents, who called me, to say they were coming here, I got excited. We could always be friends, I guess.
"So, how's school?" I asked. "I'm actually thinking of transferring."
"Really? That would be so cool!" she exclaimed.
Kat's P.O.V.
It would be cool. I really like having guy friends. They're really fun and mellow but I love my girl friends just as much.
"Wanna play a game?" he asked.
"What kind of game?" I asked.
"Dance Dance Revolution II!" he exclaimed.
I laughed, "Ok"
We played DDR II and I won! It was the most fun I had in a while.
When we were done, Aidan gave me some food. When he was handing the plate to me, my hand brushed his and his hands were REALLY hot! "Sorry," I muttered.
"It's fine."
"Why are you so hot?" I asked.
"Oh, I don't know. I guess it's just natural. My hotness."
"You know what I mean," I laughed.
"I don't know why I'm so hot!" he said, laughing. I knew he was joking, though.
"Well, I gotta go. See you later?"
"Sure." he said.
I walked back to the lakehouse and met my aunt. I guess our bonding starts now.
-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm so glad I came! Aunt Katherine and I went to the spa very close to here and then we went to this carnival one hour away from here. I don;t even know how she found it! I still don;t forgive her for what she did to me when I was younger. Even though I had fun, it would take more than that to convince me that she has changed. Sadly.
When we returned from shopping (Yay!), I called Nate. I wanted to ask him how Jenna is. Even though, she practically called me a jealous bitch, I wanted to make sure my best friend is alright.
I took my phone out and dialled his number.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey, um, Kat, right?"
It was a girl's voice. An unrecognizable one.
"Yeah," I said shakily.
"Nate's in the shower. Wanna call back?"
The shower? Oh my! This isn't looking too good...
"Um, no, that's ok. It's not important anyway."
