Scott and Leila looked everywhere they could think of, that Phil could've possibly been, Scott eventually branching off from the daughter of Athena. Leila was concerned, but she left the older man be as she decided to start keeping an eye on Dan and Mitch. She spied on them, filtering them around as they were obviously looking for their lovers. She watched as they went to Scott's room, then to Phil's. After a while, they stopped in a coffee shop, sitting down to drink their espresso based drinks. Mitch looked up, directly at Leila, smiling once he caught her eye.
"Leila!" Mitch called the girl over. "If anyone knows where Scotty is, it's you."
"I'm not sure where he is," Leila responded honestly. "He said something about training with Phil in a private location. Apparently it's somewhere only they know."
"He's never kept secrets from me..." Mitch squeaked, his face full of hurt. "I hope he's not mad at me."
"Is there anything he should be mad about?" She asked, her eyes daring him to try and lie.
"Not that I know of," he shook his head honestly. "I mean he knows I've hooked up with Dan a couple times, but he knows the reasons behind it. The only way he'd be mad at me is if... He wouldn't... would he?"
"I don't think so," she shrugged, "though if he did, would you blame him."
"At this point, I don't," he sighed. "I'm surprised he hasn't given up on me by now."
"That's because he genuinely loves you," she continued. "He loves you with everything in him. He would do anything to keep you safe, even after Dallas. He has loved you unconditionally through all of the mistakes both of you have made. He wouldn't do that to you. Don't doubt it any. Maybe the secret is a trainer secret. Don't you have those with Dan?"
"Yeah I do, actually," he admitted.
"Then just trust in Scott and everything will be okay," she finished.
"You always know exactly what to say, Leila," he smiled, mentally thanking her.
"My mama isn't the fucking goddess of wisdom for nothing," she smiled. "How about you guys get changed, and I'll treat both of you to a nice dinner tonight?"
"Fine with me," he nodded. "Dan, meet me back at my room when you change. Then we'll meet with Leila."
"Sounds like a plan," Dan agreed before they separated.
Dan walked into his room, trying to figure out what he wanted to wear. He wanted to look nice, but he wanted some kind of color. He looked through his suitcase, finding one of Phil's checkered shirts, a red and black one, and out it on, a black jacket on top. He threw on some black skinny jeans and a pair of converses. He washed his hair, deciding to keep his "hobbit" hair because he was too lazy to straighten it. He put on some cologne and waited for an okay from his trainer.
Mitch got to his room, getting out the outfit he planned out on the way there. He put a beautiful white blouse underneath a black leather jacket. He felt girly, so he decided to wear a galaxy mini skirt with black leggings underneath. He finished the outfit with some black heeled boots. He decided to do a full look, with galaxy eyes and dark red loops. He fixed his hair and messaged Dan that he was ready.
Leila went to her room, looking through her wardrobe. She deciding on a black, strapless dress with a real jewel beaded sweetheart bodice. She put on her favorite rose gold stilettos, and some jewelry, a ring, necklace, and earrings, to top it off. She put her milk chocolate hair up in a bun and put on some subtle makeup, messaging the two boys.
"Hello fellow demigods," Leila greeted as three met up again. "We will be the the sexiest trio in the restaurant."
"You got that fucking right!" Mitch chipped in, making Dan smile awkwardly. "Since we are dressed nice, we should go to Venus. Not only does my favorite sister own it, but the chef is amazing."
"Let's just go before I fucking starve to death," Dan whined, making the other two laugh.
The three went to floor eight, the floor with all the restaurants, and went straight to Venus. They were seated, all the ordering a house cocktail. Dan ordered some kind of salad, Mitch ordered a special that was named after him, and Leila ordered a steak and lobster mask. They began to wait for their food, Mitch and Dan downing the drink, along with four more. Mitch stopped, but Dan didn't, wanting to down his regrets.
"No more after this, Dan," Leila scolding him, obviously concerned. "Dinner hasn't even arrived yet."
"I...I aaaaaaaam an adult..." Dan slurred. "Y-yooooooou can't te...tell meeee what to... to do."
"Leila is right, you know," Mitch added. "It's fun to be drunk, but not if it's too forget. I know that's what you're doing."
"Fuck you, you annoying cunt..." Dan spat, taking a drink of his seventh drink since they arrived.
"If you don't stop," Mitch threatened looking directly in the boy's eyes, "then I'll tell Phil myself. Before you tell me that he won't believe it, because I know he won't. Here's the thing, I have Scott, Leila, and videos to back me up."
"You wouldn't," Dan growled, though he knew what Mitch was capable of.
"I don't think you'd want to test me, Daniel," Mitch shrugged, Dan pushing away the cocktail as their food came out.
"Leila!" A boy, the most stereotypical nerd, called out, walking up to the three.
"Oh hey, Marcus," Leila greeted, Dan looking down at his feet awkwardly.
"Did you and Scott ever find that Phil guy?" He asked, Leila freezing as the other two at the table glared at her. "Scott seemed upset when he asked me."
"Um... yeah," she lied with a nervous smile. "Turns out he was just in his beach room."
"Oh good," he smiled back, far more convinced that Mitch and Dan. "Well I'm here for a date. See you around."
"Bye," she waved, he brother walking away.
"What did Marcus mean by looking for Phil?" Mitch asked, Leila shaking with nerves. "What happened and what's going on?"
"We were looking for Phil because he wasn't in Scott's office," she answered honestly.
"Why we're you looking for him?" Mitch pressed on.
"Scott didn't tell me," she bit her lip.
"You're lying," he shook his head.
"And how do you know that?" She crossed her arms.
"You only bite your lip when you lie," he rolled his eyes.
"Fine..." she sighed, looking down as she spoke. "So Phil finished his test and asked me to help him find you and Scott. Well he went into your room, and ran back out. When I told Scott, he started panicking and told me that he thinks Phil hears him scolding Dan about not telling Phil that he hooked up with you. He told me he couldn't sense Phil and that he'd pay me extra if I kept you distracted while he looked."
"What does that mean when Scott can't sense Phil?" Dan asked, growing paler with every second.
"The truth will definitely hurt, Dan," Mitch shook his head, Dan beginning to shake the man began to dial his boyfriend's number.
"Hello?"
"Hey..."
"She told you."
"Technically Marcus told me. Where are you?"
"That's not important right now."
"It is. Dan's worried sick."
"That's not my problem."
"You know what? Fuck you for thinking that. I'm not in love with him. He reminds me of who Jack could've been, and I wanted to protect Phil like he was Jack. I'm not going to let some fucking Hades kid take another brother from me. Especially one one that has to do with you. Jack and Dallas isn't happening, Mitch."
"You're still mad at me for that?"
"No I'm not. I'm just not going to sit back and watch it again."
"I can make this better. Just tell me where you are. We'll help you find him."
"You two stay back."
"I'm not letting you do this alone."
"It's best you do. Goodbye."
"Scott I..."Then the line cut.
