*Alex POV*

I woke up to someone shaking my shoulder gently.

"Alex! Wake up! It's time to go eat breakfast!" Someone whined beside me, and I opened my eyes to see Connor Stoll standing there. I sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes as I yawned.

"What time is it?" I asked, looking around to see that everyone else was gone.

"Time for breakfast, silly." He said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me out of the cabin and towards the mess hall. When we got there he led me to a table that was filled with people who I had seen in the Hermes cabin last night. They all laughed and smiled with one another as they ate food. Connor took me over to where Travis was sitting. I sat down between the twins and looked at the empty plate in front of me.

"Just think of whatever you want to eat and it'll appear," Travis said from my right. Anything? I was going to get fat real quick if this is how all our meals went. I closed my eyes and thought of my favorite breakfast food. I opened my eyes and on my plate sat steaming bacon that was ready to eat. I grinned really big as I placed a piece in my mouth, munching happily.

"A bacon girl, huh?" Connor said, reaching over to grab a piece. I swatted at his arm and he chuckled. He placed a piece of my bacon in his mouth and chewed it with a smirk on his face. I narrowed my eyes. No one stole my bacon and got away with it. I looked at what was on his plate. Pancakes and sticky syrup. Lightbulb! I just got an idea. I finished eating my bacon and then as quick as I could, I grabbed Connor's plate and stuck it on his head. Then I ran away as people started laughing at Connor. I ran as fast as I had in my last 5k. I pumped my arms and took long strides. The only problem was that I really didn't know where I was heading.

I risked a glance behind me and saw Connor Stoll chasing after me. If he wanted to play chase, two could play at this game. Hermes might be the god of speed, but I'd like to bet I was faster than Connor. I turned my head back forward and sprinted past the cabins and the arena. I saw the armory up ahead and put a new burst of speed on. I aimed towards the door but ended up missing it by an inch and running into the wall. I fell backward onto the ground with a grunt. Great, now I was going to have back pains and my nose was throbbing. I looked behind me and saw Connor passing the cabins. I was right, I was faster than Connor. His eyes widened as he saw me on the ground. I pushed myself into a sitting position before standing up, using the wall for balance. I opened the door to the armory and walked inside.

There were weapons everywhere. Bow and arrows, swords, daggers, knives, shields, axes, staffs, and spears. I walked around looking at the different weapons. I saw a glint under the light and looked to see a beautiful dagger. I picked it up and inspected it. It looked to be made of silver, with a black leather handle. It was polished so well that you could easily see your reflection in the blade.

"That's a real beauty."

I turned around quickly to see a sticky haired Connor standing behind me with his arms crossed. He raised an eyebrow.

"Do you want it?"

"Um, yeah."

"Then take it."

I slipped the beautiful dagger in my belt and when I looked back at Connor I almost burst out laughing at his syrupy hair.

"You know, you might want to take a shower," I said, before running past him and back outside. I ran towards the beach and I could hear the heavy pants of Connor behind me. The stragglers at the mess hall watched Connor chasing me towards the beach. As soon as I could feel the grainy surface of the beach under my feet, I felt someone pick me up from behind and lift me into the air.
