*Phoenix POV*

After walking away from Alex, I kept thinking about the training I had with Austin. I just kept replaying the music he could produce and it sounded like something I've never heard before. I was completely in love with music before I met Austin but now I have heard what someone can do with just their voice started to make me think twice.

The walk back to the cabin was dull, nothing interesting was going on besides Cyprian was out on a quest he left yesterday with a few other demigods, I didn't know who they were. But as I was walking back I heard a guitar playing and I started to hum to the chords and almost write a new song. I sang like my life depended on it and poured out everything. After about two minutes of dancing and singing, I sighed and muttered. "Why does it even matter I can't sing."

"Yes you can and you out of anyone should understand that."

I turn around and see Apollo standing right behind me. I stumble when I see him and Austin walks up behind him.

"Father this is..."

"Phoenix Tate, yes I know when she was a baby I blessed her with the voice of a god, but dancing not so much."

Both Austin and I were open mouthed and looking at each other like we were idiots.

"But how do you know me, why am I special?" I finally had the courage to put in.

"Because your father was one of my best mortal friends and loved to sing even if he wasn't good. But you he wanted you to be able to sing and make a difference almost like a siren. But even better."

Austin came over and hugged me tight. I never knew my father, I was put in foster care for all my life. Music was always the only thing that calmed me down. After Austin and his dad left towards his cabin, I was still stuck as realization dawned on me. I was special.

I walked into my cabin and planned out my perfect outfit for tomorrow. A white dress thigh length and no sleeves. Although it was a dress you could do anything in it. All of the cabin were gonna were their white uniforms tomorrow for the chance to find out when and who the next quest would happen. I took of my make up and later in bed talking with jasper.

"So you do think tomorrow any of us will be picked?"

"Look sis, don't get your hopes up, we are supposed to look pretty not do work."

After hearing that I was fuming but I couldn't do anything cause that's the way the entire camp viewed the cabin. So I closed my eyes and was swept into a land of dreams.

I was running through the woods, and I heard a pipe so I stopped, and plugged my ears so I wouldn't fall asleep. I only had my bow and my outfit was so ewwwww. A crop top with a ugly green shirt and brown leggings. I must have been crazy cause it was ugly as Hermes cabin. I looked around at my surroundings and moved carefully. But no one was with me it was like I was all alone. I heard bushes and twigs snap. I shifted my weight and turned around and a wolf jumped on top of me. I screamed as loud as my voice could produce a sound. My vocal chords ached. The wolf growled and got off of me and went to my head grabbing my hand that was in the air and dragged me through the forest. As blood stained my arm I screamed again hoping to be heard at least by the birds.

I woke up in a dark room with a cold sweat with Austin, Alex, and Connor surrounding the white table I was laying on.

"Wha-"

"Don't talk your bleeding and you're gonna strain your vocal chords." Connor said.

I nodded and breathed in a cold breath and looked at my arm. It had a horrible mark on it. Connor put a mask around my mouth and in moments I passed out.
