Brynlee's POV

After that day, Shawn had to leave to Tokyo. He posted a lot on his social media so I was able to keep up with everything. The time difference was a little difficult though, but he somehow managed to call me every night and stay on the phone with me until I fell asleep. It was really nice knowing I was safe. One time, he stayed on the phone for 6 hours while I slept, and when I woke I was able to listen to the conversation he was having with his buddies. Which mow that I think about it, it was kinda creepy for me to do.

He came back to New York because he had two random concerts here before he went on tour. The concert was tomorrow, and I was hoping Daniel wouldn't notice I was gone. I told him I had work which would have been true if I didn't ask for the night off. I was hoping he would be passed out drunk by the time I got home so he wouldn't know I was out later than work.

It was 11 o'clock right now and I just got back from another night at the cafe. Shawn had texted me that he was finishing up in the studio and he would call me in about an hour. To pass time, I got ready for bed, cuddled up with my blankets in bed, and caught up on David Dobrick's vlogs to pass time. I wanted to play guitar but Daniel was already asleep and I didn't want to risk waking him up.

Before I knew it, it was 12:17 and my phone started ringing. Shawn's name popped up with a goofy picture of him. I smiled and clicked the green button.

Shawn: Hey, I'm sorry I'm late. We got caught up talking about the tour.

Me: It's okay, I understand that you have a busy life and I don't want to get in the way of that.

Shawn: I love how understanding and forgiving you are. It makes this relationship a lot easier. Sometimes my own family doesn't even understand and it puts a strain on our relationship.

He sounded like he was in genuine distress over it and I felt bad that he had to deal with this too. His life is hard enough as it is. People think being famous is so amazing and they should be grateful for where they are. In reality, they have to give up a lot in order to do what they love and they don't just do it for them, they do it for us.

Me: I'm sure in the end they will come to there senses and you will be able to forgive each other because in the end, you guys are family and you need each other.

Shawn: Yeah, I guess you are right.

Me: You sound exhausted. Let's get some sleep, okay?

Shawn: Okay. Goodnight Brynlee.

Me: Goodnight Shawn.

I heard some rustling on the other end and then silence. I listened and waited for his breathing to get deeper and the light snores to escape his mouth. I always tried to imagine his cute little face relaxed and at peace. His mind always seems to be going a mile a minute while also trying to be present in the moment. Eventually I fell asleep to the sweet sounds of his breath.

I woke up the next morning and could still hear Shawn's soft breath. The concert wasn't till 7 but it was general admission so I decided to get there early. It was 6am right now and by the time i got to the venue it would be around 7am. I figured there would already be some people there but I was hoping there wasn't too many. I climbed out of bed and got dressed in black leggings, a light pinkish shirt, and a black, long cardegine. I curled my hair and applied natural makeup with kind of elaborate eye look. I put on some black boots and packed a bag with two granola bars, a water bottle, portable charger, my ticket, and some cash.
