After dinner, it was already seven thirty, so both Katherine and Sam went to go and brush their teeth. Katherine is in third grade while Sam is in fifth grade. I'm the one that is in eighth grade. Making me the oldest one. Usually, once the girls go to bed, I am able to have a couple moments with mom before she goes to bed. So, I just have to wait until they go to bed.
After both of the girls went to bed at eight; I decided to go and ask my mom for advice on how to make Jason like me.
"Hey mom, can I ask you a couple questions? I need advice on how to make this boy like me- "
"He's not worth it if you have to make him like you." She snaps making me sigh. Maybe I said it wrong. Let me try again. She's dated tons of boys, and she even married one. She has to know something.
"Fine, sorry. Let me rephrase that. How do I make myself stick out to him? Like, make him think that I'm different from all the other girls that are swooning over him." I ask making myself look at the ground as my mother sighs annoyed as if she is talking to a crying child.
"Paige! This Jason guy isn't worth it, and he never will be!" She says walking off.
She must just be in a bad mood. Having a baby must be messing with her hormones. But, talking to her didn't help me at all. I guess Jason and I are just not meant to be. The stars just aren't lining up for us.
"Okay... Thanks, mom." I whisper sadly as I walk into my room for the rest of the night.
