I walk into my house and gulp knowing that I will have to tell my mom and she's going to kill me. I could keep it a secret, but then it would be worse when she finds out on her own. I just want to get it over with. I don't want to cause drama later on. I just want to do it now and deal with it now.

...

I took a shower and put on pajamas and sigh as I sit on the squishy, light caramel brown couch that's made of leather. My body is shaking, and I feel like I'm going to throw up. I can't believe that I got my card signed today.

My mom then enters the house and looks at what I'm wearing. "Paige, go get real clothes on AGAIN." She says making all my tears pour out like a river.

"Mom, I got my card signed today, and I'm not dressed because I'm not eating," I say as I put my head in my knees as my mother gasps.

"Paige Newsworth! You are grounded! Give me your phone young lady!" She says holding her hand out for my phone. It reminds me of how Mr. Brown held out his hand for my card.

"Yes, ma'am..." I sniffle as I take my phone and shut it down. I then softly press my forehead against it and then hand it to my mother who's giving me that look. That look that says 'I am so disappointed in you. I thought that I raised you better, you disgrace.'

"I'll be in my room," I stammer as I get off the couch and go into my room and collapse on my bed and start crying

...

Dinner seemed to come too soon. As I smelled the food, my stomach growled, but I am refusing to eat. I need to become one of the prettier girls. I need to lose weight. I need to drop it quickly.
