Journey (Carl and Enid)

Chapter 1

It has been a few months that they have been dating. Carl and Enid are in Carls room at his house at hilltop it's 5:00 pm. " Carl are you scared for you know," enid stutters." no I'm not." Carl looked at the door blank face. " you know carl sometimes you need to be scared" She Sits up and puts her hand on his face. Carl  Looks at her and puts his head against the wall. " It's just hard" Enid removed her hand. " Hard to be scared?" She questioned a small smile peering on her lips. "I know it stupid but" Enid stops him, "Carl I get it, you have seen so much that one day you don't fear what's coming. But if you keep holding it in you will break yourself you won't be Carl you'll be a monster." He looked down. "maybe I am already one" Carl says. "no your not your still you Carl your not a monster. You just have to let yourself feel please for for your dad for everyone else who cares about you."

A few moments later of silence. " do remember when you asked what happened to me" Enid said. Carl nodded
" well I'm ready to tell you. Me and parents were on the road for awhile then are car broke down walkers were everywhere my parents got out of the car to see if they could get it started but they were to late they were bitten and eaten right in front of me. Then I was on my own for a long time till I came to Alexandria." She spoke in a low voice she's never opened up to someone like this before. " Remember when I told you that something happened to me to well that was an understatement, but if I had to pick the biggest thing that made me like this is when-. You know Judith right well when my mom had her there were complications Maggie couldn't get the her out so she had to do a C section. My mom didn't make it." He begins to cry. "I umm... I had to shoot her in the head it had to be me" Enid whipped away his tears.
" I'm sorry" her eyes showed how much she felt for him. " don't be" Carl said while looking her into her eyes. " that's the reason I can't get scared" he stayed as if she caught on.
" you see Carl the problem with that is that you are scared you are scared to loose the ones you love " lays her head on his chest. " how do know" Carl said still tearing
" because I'm scared too" Carl wraps his arms around enid and they snuggle for the rest of the night.
