Journey (Carl and Enid)

Chapter 5

Time of the dinner.

Enid and Maggie made dinner and have set a table for four. Rick and Carl
Show up at 8:00
When they walked in Carl and Enid smiled at each other and both Rick and Maggie saw.
When they were all seated Rick asked Enid a question.
"Enid how long were you out there by yourself before alxsandria." This made Carl angry.
"Umm a while actually after umm.. Enid started to tear. "
"My umm... Enid gets up and walks into the other room. Carl fallows her giving his dad a what the hell look while walking by.

"Maggie I'm sorry I didn't know that was such a sensitive subject"
"It's that, she hasn't even told me that story, but I can bet she told Carl that's why he gave you that looks he new"
"Yea look at that"
Carl brings Enid back out.
"Let's try this again Enid I'm sorry for asking that"
"It's ok any other questions?"
"Yea when did this thing with you and my son start"
Enid and Carl both snickered
"Well umm I used go outside the walls a lot it was the only place I felt safe funny right. And Carl decided to follow me and I meant up with to be honest he scared me and when we hid from walkers I found out he was scared of me too which made me happy. And that's really how it all started.
"Wow ok"
Enid Carl both look down and smiled neither could believe what just happened.
"Im sorry if that's not what you wanted to here sir."

"Why were you scared of each other?" Carl new he had to step in so he did.
" I was scared to get to close someone. If I got close and she died I don't know if I would be able to go through that again."
"Kinda the same on my end to sir"
Enid and Carl started starring at each other longingly which made Rick and Maggie uncomfortable.
" Enid tell me more about yourself."
Rick said.
"Like what?"
"I don't know what makes you, you?"
"Well umm... I like to run, I'm fast too I beat Carl by a mile when we raced a while ago."
"Really." Rick looks over to Carl.
"You did not beat by a mile it was like 10 seconds."
"Yea more like 10 minutes." Enid said while laughing.
"You think your sooo funny don't you." Enid nods her head while still laughing historically. Carl picks up a carrot and throws it at Enid.
"Ohh you did not just do that!" Enid picks up two carrots and throws them at Carl. Carl started bursting out laughing when he was about to throw another one Maggie jumped in.
"Ok ok that's enough throwing of the food." Maggie said with a smile.
"Sorry."
"Yea sorry." Enid said while throwing one more carrot at Carl.
"Really." Carl said annoyed. Enid shrugged her shoulders they Laughed. Rick and Carl helped clean up diner.
"Common Carl let's go home"
"Ummm ok just let me say goodbye to Enid"
Carl pulled her out on the porch.
"Carl what are you doing?"
"I'm going to kiss my girlfriend goodbye."
"In front of your dad?"
"Yup."
Carl leaned in and kissed her goodbye.
"I'll see you in the morning." Carl said while waving goodbye. Enid smiled and walked back inside.
