"Is your name Rin Okumura?" I nodded and he nodded in return. "How old are you?"

"I-I'm sixteen, sir." My fingers fidgeted about in my lap and my heart continued to race in my chest. He asked a few more basic questions before he sighed.

"We've been given new information about your whereabouts last Thursday. So we know about the little gang you and your friends have at school, so tell me what you did that night. I want all the details, don't leave anything out." He demanded and I took a shaky breath.

"If I may ask, will the others get into trouble for this?"

"That's a matter for the academy to deal with, there has been no violence reported to the police, so we won't take any action."

I sighed in relief, whatever Mephisto had in store for them was a lot better than getting misdemeanors. I looked around the room, noting the lack of color, objects, and pretty much everything. How comforting... then again - Officer Mori cleared his throat and I realized I had been distracted from the problem at hand. I took a deep breath and prepared myself for the coming interrogation. "I went to cram school, and when that was over, I met Katsu at the gates. I had recently gotten a job offer-" I hurried to explain, realizing he didn't know much about the group. "-A 'job' is what we do, uh, the kids at school write notes and put them in our lockers. If we want to do what they ask, we agree..."

My heart was pounding unusually fast and the officer sighed, no doubt noticing my flustered expression. "You don't have to be so nervous, kid. What are you so worried about?" His usual brunt tone had softened slightly, but not by much.

I scratched my head and leaned against the back of my chair, slumping down. "Everything I have said in the past week has pretty much been thrown back into my face. No one gives me a chance 'because I'm a boy, because I'm half demon, because I am friends with the supposed bad kids.' I've made a lot of mistakes, I know, but raping someone isn't a mistake, for crying out loud. That's something I wouldn't even think about doing!" I knew I was getting a little emotional, and I clapped my hands over my face, hiding my red cheeks. I breathed heavily and tried to calm my racing blood.

He was quiet for a few moments, but the silence didn't last long. "You don't have to worry about that right now, I'm unbiased in this matter, so just tell me your side of the story and we can go from there." I rubbed my face before dropping my hands to my lap again. I shifted to sit up straight and I nodded, sighing.

"Um, where was I.. oh right. That job was from a girl, saying that some other chick from school was harassing her. We normally dealt with the bullies at school, like some sort of mafia. It's horrible, I know..." I cleared my throat, knowing that he was probably judging me. "Anyway, Katsu and I went to the place she had stated, but there was no other girl."

"What do you mean?" He folded his arms and leaned against the table, looking enthralled by my words. Did all cops pretend to be good guys when questioning a criminal? I mentally shook my head, what was I saying? I'm not a criminal, if anything, I was the victim here.

I shifted in my seat, the hard surface making my lower back grow uncomfortable and my butt was starting to go numb. "Like I said before, she's crazy, but I didn't figure that out until it was too late." I brushed the hair from my eyes and had to suppress the urge to roll them in annoyance. "You see, we were in some of the same classes in school, and she seemed nice and all, but I never thought of her as anything more than a friend. I guess she thought differently though, because she suddenly kissed me one day. Actually, that one day was the same day she attacked me and Katsu."

He hummed and shifted forward in his seat, I must not be the only one with a sore back. "She attacked you? Where and why?"

He sure was blunt, but I guess that was needed for a job like this. You can't really beat around the bush when you need answers. I shrugged, "I'm not absolutely sure why, 'cause she's crazy, like I said. Anyway, after cram school, Katsu and I went to that place for our job and she was the only one there. She was spewing some shit-" my eyes widened and I was about to apologize for my language, but he just waved me off. "I-uh, so yeah, she was saying stuff about how I was supposed to pay attention to her and love her" I felt a shudder run up my spine, "she acted like she was supposed to own me," I mumbled it to myself, but I knew he heard me in the quiet room.
