Until that memorable split screen meeting of the eye where I flashed that giddy smile. You looked ethereal... a beauty nestled in simple pony tail and polka dotted apron. I looked into your eyes, and I saw a battered heart who never knew love. A lost soul desperately searching for herself but never getting far. And so, i whispered a ferveny prayer to the stars.
Then everything clicked. You started your journey with a single pabebe wave waving and weaving into the hearts of countless lives. With new found adulation and love, you began fulfilling your purpose in life and reaching your far-fetched dreams. But in the midst of all these, there is one thing that brings utmost joy to me. You learned to see how special God created you to be. That even stars fall short to that beauty underneath.
And I was enthralled with that beauty etching every single line in my heart. Then everything developed into something more beautiful and true. Those longing stares where all shrinks to nothingness as everything you need is right in front of you. Those warm hugs that are constant reminders that as long as there is "Ikaw at Ako", and everything is alright in the world. Those kisses that interweave two lost souls with a promise to never never let go.
Then I cried.... because I saw true love. And I remember that first time when your lives crossed paths. Though my face is so blurred, I have utmost contentment in my heart. For I've written the most wonderful lovestory in the stars.
I felt her hand on my cheeks as she gives thanks to the things she holds dear. With closed eyes, she said her wish for her special day this year. I whispered that same prayer that aligned the constellations above:
"You deserved to be loved and be not afraid. For Fate has finally chosen your soul's eternal mate."
I saw him hold her hand and she caressed her face .. as I was tucked in the pocket of their sweet embrace. I whispered:
"Happy Birthday my Princess. Know that I will always take care of your heart. But now I can finally rest, and just let you be... For you are with your one true destiny.
