Brian sighed, and then wiped his hands down over his face as he attempted for the upteenth time to get Justin to see it, his way.

Justin felt numb with grief.

This wasn't going anywhere toward what he had planned.

The disappointment he felt at Brian's refusal to his suggestion was raw.

With tear-filled blue eyes, he finally got up from the couch and stumbled his way past Brian as he attempted to put as much distance between them as he quickly could.
