~CHAPTER 39~

Even the older woman's own son who was quite influential in the field as well, was supposed to be attending, and it would have been the perfect opportunity to drop her name and make the correct sorts of contacts for her future in medicine; and Justin's too, for future showings in the many NY and surrounding area galleries.

But her own stupid son and even stupider husband had now ruined their, grand 'family' entrance!

And by refusing to even dress himself and their son properly to receive guests of such a high upstanding, Daphne knew no one would take him seriously now.

This breed of people, these professionals had rules.

Rules that were followed without question, making their former 'WASPY Country Club' upbringing feel just like that, out of date, out of touch, boring and simplistic too.

And although she was willing and eager to follow the new rules, Justin obviously was not.

The whole situation made her want to stomp and shout out her anger!

"Mummy, I told you, I am SORRY I didn't let you know I was back sooner. Now, I really do not wish to be here right now.
