    (Sarah's POV)

"Dear, you really should get out of this stuffy room. Maybe go for a walk through the garden and get some fresh air." Lady Welsh said. She was sitting beside me with a book in her hands as I did some embroidery.

I looked up at her. "No, I will not leave this room and allow people to see me and look at me like I will break any moment." I hadn't left my chambers in days. I have lost count how many. No one but Lady Welsh was aloud in my chambers. I knew Henry had tried to see me at first but after not answering his calls through the door and allowing him in I hoped that he had left and was back in France. Lady Welsh was the only company I allowed myself to have.

"I know that dear, but staying in this room will never help your health."

I sighed. We had had this argument almost everyday after my return from that horrific event. I knew  would have to give in some time, why not today. "As long as no one catches a sight of me."

Lady Welsh shot up. "I can almost make sure of it."

I got up slower and set my embroidery on the table. "I just need to get my shawl." Once I was ready I nodded to Lady Welsh and followed her through the door. Of course we ran into two guards.

"We are leaving and going to the garden you are dismissed until we get back," Lady Welsh told the guards. They bowed to us then walked down the hall. Lady Welsh turned to me. "Are you ready dear?"

"Yes." I followed her down stairs and we turned down a hall that I had never been in before I think it was used years ago for servants. After a couple of twists and turns we came to a door and Lady Welsh stopped.

She turned to face me. "Stay here dear. I will make sure no one is out side." She opened the door and left me standing in the hall. After a couple of minutes the door opened and Lady Welsh stepped inside. "It's all clear." She let me go outside first and followed a few moments later. "Shall we go for a stroll?"

I gave a small smile and together we walked around and admired the flowers.

(Henry's POV)

I was leaning over the King's desk to get a better look at the illustration he was showing me when a servant ran into the room. "She came out of her chambers. She went with Lady Welsh to take a stroll through the gardens." The servant panted.

I was in motion instantly. I grabbed my jacket and ran through the halls to the stables. I didn't bother in wasting time to saddle my horse up but instead just put his reins on and rode bare back. Together we raced across the yard and to the back of the castle. When the garden came into view I slowed my horse and delicately steered him through the flowers. My heart nearly came to a stop when I saw her. She looked beautiful. For more than a week she had stayed in her chambers only allowing Lady Welsh. At first I would yell through the door trying to get her to open it, but after many attempts I gave up and decided to just wait for her to come out, that never stopped me from hoping she would ask for me, but she never did.

I glanced behind her and saw the King and her sisters were entering the garden. We had planed this moment. Lady Welsh was to get her out of her room, and then it was up to me. Her family wanted to witness it and that was why they were making their way through the garden.

When Sarah's head snapped in my direction her eyes met mine. She broke the gaze and turned to leave the garden, but Lady Welsh was there and whispered something to her making her stop but she kept her back to me. When I was a few feet away from them I pulled my horse to a stop and slid down. I approached her slowly, the whole time she kept her back to me. I reached out and set my hand on her shoulder, I felt her flinch under my hand and she turned around to face me. "Sarah," Her name came out as a whisper and I pulled her to me.

She didn't return the embrace however. "I thought you would be gone."

I pulled back to look at her. "I would never leave you."

She gave a heartless laugh. "Sure. Now you have nothing holding you here. No child. Just a pathetic girl."

I frowned. "You are not a pathetic girl. You are the girl that I love and I want you to be that girl forever." I knelt down on one knee and saw that Sarah's father and sisters had joined us. "Sarah Victoria Danielsen II, will you marry me?"

(Sarah's POV)

I had heard the horse before I saw it. When I looked up I found my gaze locked on Henry's. The sight of him was painful. Knowing that I had lost his child, our child, was to much. I knew he just pitied me.

I broke the gaze and turned to leave, but Lady Welsh stopped me and leaned to whisper in my ear. "Hear him out dear." She said. I knew she was right and that I should at least hear what he had to say.

"Fine. I will stay, but how did he know I was here?" I whispered of course I didn't get an answer.

I kept my back to him. I heard his horse stop, and I heard him get off. I could hear his footsteps as he got closer. I prayed he would stop before reaching me, and I thought my prayers were answered when I heard his footsteps stop. Then he placed his hand on my shoulder and I flinched. Slowly I turned around. That hand seemed to reach through the fabric of my dress and burn me. "Sarah." I melted at the sound of his voice as he spoke. I felt tears come to my eyes as he pulled me into an embrace.

I didn't return it. How could I? Not after the loss of our child. He felt bad for me that was all, so instead of returning the embrace I said the first thing that came to my mind. "I thought you would be gone."

I felt relived when he pulled away but his words broke that. "I would never leave you." He said.

I found that funny. He had left me before. "Sure. Now you have nothing holding you here. No child, just a pathetic girl."

I watched as he frowned. His next words brought my heart to a stop. "You are not a pathetic girl. You are the girl that I love and I want you to be that girl forever." I watched as he got on one knee and felt my heart break as he asked "Sarah Victoria Danielsen II, will you marry me?"

I knew my answer and my heart tore into pieces as I gave it. "No."
