Nocturnal creatures roam the sleeping pasture
Idling amid silent shivering grass
Ghosts of howls in the trees linger in space
Haunting steps taken slowly, silently
They wait, watching, with eyes piercing, preying
Hiding in camouflage, shrouded by night’s wing
Utter cries heard faintly in coal black darkness
Never blinking, they stare into nothing
Talons grasping in dirt, they stay unmoving
Enduring silence, devouring demons in hiding
Raucous rasping rumbles as the creatures flee in fright

PoetryThis is a collection of my poems inspired by the novels I've read. Others are inspired by completely different things. Some are sonnets, some are not, some are just out of the blue. © 24CasterXAngel1878, 2008-2012
