Sentraya's P.O.V.

"Sentraya, what is going on?!" Mau shouted running to me for comfort as the walls around us shook from a large blast.

"I don't know..." I muttered to myself. I pulled her closer to me trying to keep her safe from falling objects. When the earthquake stopped, there was a strange noise that rung in my ears and stole the air from my lungs. It was a sharp hissing off in the distance, but any noise to get through these walls would be ear blasting outside. This was beyond anything that I had ever felt before. Mau seemed to be choking on the air in front of me while I was avoiding breathing, afraid that I would suffocate from the Carbon Dioxide. When I tried to speak to tell Mau not to breath, I choked on my own words and felt a burning pain in my chest. Then finally, it stopped. There was a moment of silence, but that moment soon ended. An ear blasting howl echoed over the area. Vases and books came crashing down off of stands, effected by the vibrations of course. I could feel Mau's tears on my shirt, but I could not hear her cries. Honestly, I might have been crying myself and just didn't realize it. I looked up in horror and I saw the roof of the room start to cave in almost as if it where melting. Wait... That is melting! I thought instinctively grabbing Mau trying to pull her to safety. At that moment, she screamed trying to shrink into a corner of the room as if attempting to hide from the horrors they now faced. Burning rocks plummeted from the blast of emerald green fire with came crashing down through the ceiling and blasting through the cracks in the walls. The room filled with smoke making my eyes water.

"Let us out!!! Someone PLEASE!!!!" I screamed banging my fists on the wall. Mau was wailing in fear as she ran to me choking from the smoke. Her face was smudged from the embers of the fire. The map on the wall burst into flames catching the books and cloths around in alight as well. More embers flew through the air as moments passed. I continued to scream for help, but I was starting to loose my voice to the smoke. "SOMEONE GET US OU-gack!!!" The smoke filled my throat and cut me off. Mau had already collapsed to the ground struggling to keep consciousness. I almost joined her; when suddenly the flames stopped and one of the half-lit walls came crashing down. Large rocks almost toppled onto us but I managed to keep us far back enough. Mau was in to much of a coughing fit to get on her feet, so I quickly swept her off the ground and carried her over the broken stone and out of the room we had been trapped in for so long. We both collapsed to the earth fighting for air. Mau was retching and coughing on the ground while I gathered up enough strength to stand. What I saw terrified me. A huge monster, over 40 feet tall, standing over hundreds of dead bodies smashing everything that stood before it. I saw one of its scaly claws only a few yards away. I stayed there petrified with fear; until Mau snapped me out of my trance.

"ALEX!!!" I heard her scream when she looked up from the ground. I followed her gaze and saw what she was upset about. A boy only a little older than she, was standing directly in front of the savage beast as if to face it. Mau didn't know the boy that well, but he had come with his brother to see us once in a while. "HE'S GOING TO DIE!!!!" Mau screamed then tried to run to him, but I grabbed her and held her back. I couldn't let her go out there. "Let me go, I have to help him!!! ALEX!!!!!" She screamed struggling to get free from my grasp, but I pulled her to me and held her tight in my arms. Alex didn't even seem to hear her. Nor anyone. His cloths were ripped up and burned in some places, and he was covered with blisters from the fire. Yet it didn't appear that he cared. He just continued to stand there staring at the dragon, as if in a deep concentration.

"We have to go." I said turning Mau to face me. Her face was stained with tears and covered with ash.

"... But, Alex..." She said weakly holding back a sob.

"There's nothing we can do about him. If we go out there, we'll die too. Now is are chance to escape!" I begged her to come with me, but she didn't move an inch. I was about to shout at her but I heard an ear piercing howl that almost made me faint. My heart trembled from the mighty roar. I saw the dragon spread its ginormous wings, but before I could do anything; it took off into the air and sent Mau and I tumbling across the ground a good twenty feet back. It dove forward and tried to grab a hold of Alex but missed and ended up scraping his side with a single claw. Even through my blurry vision I could see red blood pour out of the wound. The dragon gave an irritated hiss and flew off to the far off mountains. It was out of sight in a matter of seconds with its unbelievable speed.
